2006 Big Ten Conference Preview
by Jordan Adams - 08/30/2006
College football's blue-collar conference lies in the heart of the Midwest. As consistent a powerhouse conference as there is, every year the Big Ten produces smash mouth football from some of the best programs in the country. This year should see the conference reign with the likes of Ohio State, Michigan, Iowa and Penn State all ranked in the top 20 to start the season.

Mountain West Conference Football Preview
by Greg Davis - 08/17/2006
With a fifth BCS game on the horizon for 2006, it's not a stretch to say the Mountain West Conference has a legitimate shot to earn its way into one of the five lucrative post-season games. In fact, under the new BCS structure it may even be considered an upset for them not to have a team draw an invitation.

2006 Big 12 Conference Preview
by Jordan Adams - 08/16/2006
Oklahoma and Texas have long dominated the Big 12 and should again be 1-2 in the conference race. The news of Rhett Bomar being dismissed from OU has dropped the Sooners out of most top 10 preseason polls. Texas is a current top 10 team and should finish in the top five.

2006 Pac-10 Conference Preview
by Jordan Adams - 08/15/2006
With Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart and LenDale White in the pros, defending conference champ USC is vulnerable. While the Trojans are still the favorite to win the Pac-10 in 2006, the conference is much more open than in past years during Pete Carroll's regime. In all likelihood only the Pac-10 winner will earn a BCS birth, so it is all or nothing for contenders California, Oregon and Arizona State.

by Trevor Whenham - 08/15/2006
It's never too early to talk about the Heisman Trophy. Heck, it's never too early to bet on who will win the Heisman Trophy. Bodog has posted their odds already, and they give us a lot to talk about. It may not be the most logical bet, but it sure is fun:

The second year in the new 12-team, two-division Conference USA continues with a race that is expected to be wide open. If last year was any indication, 2006 should again bring great parity and the standings coming down to the final weekend to decide the conference championship and bowl berths.

2006 Sun Belt Conference Preview
by Jordan Adams - 08/09/2006
No giant stands out this fall as North Texas' dominance of the Sun Belt has concluded. As many as five teams could potentially come away with the conference title and any of the others could surprise.

2006 MAC Conference Preview
by Jordan Adams - 08/08/2006
A new precedent has been set in the MAC after this past year. For the first time in five years, the conference championship game did not include Toledo, Miami or Bowling Green. In 2006, the rise of Akron and Northern Illinois should again set the table for the rest of the conference.

2006 Mountain West Conference Preview
by Jordan Adams - 08/08/2006
After seeing Utah become the first non-BCS team to play in a BCS bowl in 2004, another mid-major program could find itself crashing the big boys' party in 2006. With the system tweaked and the creation of a fifth bowl, an extra game and less strict criteria for automatic berths outside the big five conferences, it could open up a spot for some of the top mid-major programs to take center stage during bowl week.
