UFC Ultimate Fighter 6 Predictions

On Saturday the sixth season of "The Ultimate Fighter" will come to an end in the Octagon on Spike TV. During the taping of the popular show, 16 welterweights matched up tournament style to determine the finalists for the show's finale. The under-card will consist of fighters knocked off early in the show. The finalists will square off for the coveted title of Ultimate Fighter, along with a lucrative contract for several future bouts in the UFC. Unfortunately for us the fans, the show's contestants are contractually obligated to remain silent as to whom exactly those finalists will be, thereby eliminating any prospect of jumping on some upsets in the online betting realm. But, that doesn't mean there isn't any action to be had. UFC president Dana White knows this fight game and has put together a beauty of a main event.
Roger "El Matador" Huerta has been tearing his way through the welterweight division in the UFC by racking up five consecutive victories in the Octagon. In his last fight, Huerta became a fan favorite after using the "jumbotron" at the Mandalay Bay Events Center to locate his opponent's head for a torrent of disabling elbows. His opponent had taken his back and was holding on for dear life. Entertainment aside, this showed Huerta's coolness in the Octagon and demonstrated that he is a dangerous cerebral fighter.
On the other hand, Clay Guida's journey in the UFC has been a bit rockier. After a promising debut submission victory in the Octagon, "The Carpenter" suffered two tough decision losses before grinding out a his own decision victory in his last bout at UFC 74.
UFC Ultimate Fighter 6 Predictions
Main Event - 155 lbs.Roger Huerta 20-1-1 (+125) vs. Clay Guida 21-5 (-155)
I hope to see both fighters stay standing and exchange on their feet for the first round or so. Both are incredibly game fighters and know their way around if the fight goes to the ground. Guida has shown that he has no quit in him and can endure a three-round drag-out fight. Huerta is proving to be a dangerous striker, recording three TKO's in five of his UFC fights. Don't be surprised to see this go the distance.
Prediction - Jump all over this upset! Clay Guida by decision!
