If you are looking to place a few wagers on some NCAA Tournament futures, WagerWeb has posted odds for not only the winner of this year’s national title, but for each individual region of the tournament.
The breakdown of top four favorites in all five categories is as follows:
East Region: Syracuse +125, Ohio State +130, Vanderbilt +850, Florida State +1000
Midwest Region: North Carolina +110, Kansas +120, Georgetown +800, Michigan +1200
South Region: Kentucky -275, Duke +450, Baylor +650, Wichita State +900
West Region: Michigan State +140, Missouri +160, Marquette +700, Louisville +700
National Champion: Kentucky +200, North Carolina +500, Ohio State +575, Syracuse +650
Major League Baseball
If you are a real MLB die-hard and cannot wait until the 2012 regular season gets underway in a couple of weeks, WagerWeb has posted money lines for each day’s schedule of Spring Training exhibition games.
If you are looking to wager on one of the most popular MLB futures bets out there, check-out the posted odds for the projected win total for all 30 teams.
The Philadelphia Phillies lead the way in the National League with a projected win total of 93.5 games. The current money line on the ‘over’ is -110 and the line of the ‘under’ is -130. The next highest win total in the NL belongs to the San Francisco Giants and Cincinnati Reds at 87.5 games. The Giants’ money line on the over is -110 and the line on the under is -130. The Reds’ line for the over is -140 and the under is +100.
The American League win totals are far more competitive with the New York Yankees holding the top spot at 93 wins with a money line of -120 for both the over and under. The Detroit Tigers and the Los Angeles Angels are next at 92.5. The Tigers money line is -115 on the over and -125 on the under. The Angels’ line is currently -120 for both the over and under.
PGA- Transitions Championship
The PGA Tour makes a stop at Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, Florida, for the Transitions Championship this week with first round action getting underway this Thursday. The lines for the daily head-to-head matchups are not posted yet, but there is a full line of futures for this event.
There are odds posted for the outright winner, but you can also wager on a Top 10 and Top Five finish as well as the Top American, Top Australian, Top European, and Top ‘Rest of the World’ finish.
Luke Donald, from England, is the current odds-on-favorite to win this week at +850, followed by South Africa’s Charl Schwartzel at +1100 and England’s Justin Rose at +1300. The top American on the list is Web Simpson at +1400.
Motor Sports
The odds have yet to be posted for this week’s NASCAR Sprint Cup race in Bristol, Tennessee, but if you are a fan of Formula One racing, there are odds posted for the Australian Grand Prix as well as the overall season championship. Sebastien Vettel is the +110 favorite to win the race and a prohibitive -125 favorite to win this season’s F 1 Championship.
