NCAA Hoops Betting: Under the Radar
by Christopher G. Shepard - 1/29/2010

Villanova is the top money-earner in NCAA men’s hoops, commanding a 19-1 straight-up and 15-4 ATS record and a healthy +1060. However, Sacramento State, a team I profiled in the inaugural Under-the-Radar article back in December, is second in the nation at 7-14 SU but 14-4 ATS and +960; good enough to earn almost +400 in the past month.

2010 BCS Championship Game Odds and Predictions
by Robert Ferringo - 1/4/2010

Run the ball and play good defense. That is what wins in the violent game known as football. And the team that is most capable of accomplishing those seemingly basic goals will be the team that walks out of Pasadena with the BCS National Championship.

2010 Orange Bowl Odds and Predictions
by T.O. Whenham - 12/30/2009

The BCS bowls are always a big deal, but if there is one this year that is an afterthought it is definitely the Orange Bowl. There are some sexy matchups this year, but a showdown between an ACC champion which lost to two of the three best teams it faced and the second best team in the Big Ten that somehow managed to lose to Northwestern isn't exactly the kind of pairing that has people drooling

2010 Sugar Bowl Odds and Predictions
by Robert Ferringo - 12/29/2009

No. 3 Cincinnati (12-0) and No. 5 Florida (12-1) will lock up at 7:30 p.m. on New Year’s Day to play the 76th Annual Sugar Bowl. The game will be played in the Louisiana Superdome and is one of the five jewels of the BCS Bowl Game crown.

2010 Outback Bowl Odds and Predictions
by Jay Horne - 12/29/2009

The Northwestern Wildcats made some noise in the Big Ten at the end of the season, capturing upsets against previously No. 4 Iowa and also at the time No. 16 Wisconsin to close out the year with three straight victories.

2010 Capital One Bowl Odds and Predictions
by Nicholas Tolomeo - 12/29/2009

A couple of programs who are no strangers to New Year’s Day meet in a 1 p.m. matchup at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida. Penn State at 10-2 is the third place team out of the Big Ten and LSU at 9-3 is the third place team out of the SEC. The game is a matchup of two of the top bowl teams. LSU has enjoyed recent success, winning four straight and all were in blowout fashion. Penn State has all-time success with Joe Paterno, the winningest bowl coach of all time.

2009 Chick-Fil-A Bowl Odds and Predictions
by Jay Horne - 12/29/2009

The Chick-Fil-A Bowl, formerly the Peach Bowl, has long been one of the most prestigious postseason bowl games in college football. For the 18th consecutive meeting, the Georgia Dome will host a battle between ACC and SEC schools. This year’s clash will feature the No. 13 Virginia Tech Hokies, second in the ACC Coastal, and the Tennessee Volunteers, who finished third in the SEC East.

2009 Sun Bowl Odds and Predictions
by Robert Ferringo - 12/28/2009

Last year at this time Oklahoma was prepping for a National Championship Game and ready to go pimping in Miami. Now they are tuning up for the Sun Bowl in sweet El Paso. What a difference a year makes, eh?

2009 Gator Bowl Odds and Predictions
by Matt Severance - 12/28/2009

Based on their record, the Florida State Seminoles (7-5) completely don’t belong in the Gator Bowl, which has third choice of ACC teams behind the Orange and Chick-fil-A Bowls. Is FSU the ACC’s third-best team? Not hardly – the Noles had the sixth-worst overall record in the conference and lost to Miami, Clemson and Boston College, all teams with better records that the Gator Bowl could have chosen.

2010 Papa Johns Bowl Odds and Predictions
by Nicholas Tolomeo - 12/28/2009

As far as matchups go this is an interesting one. On Jan. 2 at 2 p.m. we have a Big East and SEC matchup in January. It won’t be the cream of the conference crop but instead two very capable teams in Connecticut and South Carolina, a pair of 7-5 teams.

2009 Holiday Bowl Odds and Predictions
by Jay Horne - 12/24/2009

The Nebraska Cornhuskers displayed a valiant effort to upset the Texas Longhorns in the Big 12 Championship Game, but Hunter Lawrence nailed a 46 yard field goal as time expired to crush the Cornhuskers and deny them a trip to the Fiesta Bowl. Instead of a trip to Arizona, the Cornhuskers will now meet up with the Arizona Wildcats in the Holiday Bowl in an annual meeting between Big 12 and Pac-10 schools.

2009 Champs Sports Bowl Odds and Predictions
by T.O. Whenham - 12/23/2009

The Champs Sports Bowl has been in existence since 1990, but it hasn't exactly had a smooth history - this is the eighth different name that it has had in that time, and it has gone through five different sponsors. Wisconsin brings their cheese into the sunshine, and into Miami's backyard, to play this bowl game in Orlando.

Oregon running back LeGarrette Blount.

2010 Rose Bowl Odds and Predictions
by T.O. Whenham - 12/22/2009

Both of these teams are respected programs that are consistently good, so it's hard to believe how long it has been since either has played in the signature bowl of their conferences. Ohio State hasn't been there since 1997 when Joe Germaine led the Buckeyes to a 20-17 win over Jake Plummer, Pat Tillman and the second-ranked Arizona State Sun Devils.

2010 Cotton Bowl Odds and Predictions
by T.O. Whenham - 12/22/2009

This is one of the classic bowl games, having been played continuously since 1937. It will have a very different look this time around, though - after having been played in the Cotton Bowl in Dallas every year, it is moving over to Arlington and the gargantuan confines of the new Cowboys Stadium this year.

2010 Alamo Bowl Odds and Predictions
by T.O. Whenham - 12/22/2009

The Alamo Bowl has been in existence as long as I have been out of high school - it was first played in 1993 in the Alamodome in San Antonio, and has been played there every year since. Things will be a little unfamiliar his time around, though - this is the first time that the traditional December bowl has been played in January.

2009 Music City Bowl Odds and Predictions
by Matt Severance - 12/22/2009

Are you tired of watching the Dallas Cowboys, who seem to be on national television every week in the NFL? I only ask because you have a football alternative to Sunday night’s Cowboys-Redskins game this week, and that’s the Music City Bowl in Nashville between Kentucky (7-5, 6-6 ATS) and Clemson (8-5, 8-5 ATS).

2009 Meineke Car Care Bowl Odds and Predictions
by Nicholas Tolomeo - 12/21/2009

One of the premier non-January bowl games, the Meineke Car Care Bowl is now in its eighth year. The bowl game played in the ACC backyard of Charlotte, North Carolina, features Big East representative Pitt and ACC representative, for the second consecutive year, North Carolina.

2009 Emerald Bowl Odds and Predictions
by Robert Ferringo - 12/21/2009

USC (8-4) will take on Boston College (8-4) in the 2009 Emerald Bowl, held at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 26. The game, which was formerly called the San Francisco Bowl, will take place at AT&T Park, the home of the San Francisco 49ers. The Trojans are currently an 8.0-point favorite and the total for this game rests at 43.5.

2009 Independence Bowl Odds and Predictions
by Jay Horne - 12/17/2009

Last year the Independence Bowl had to settle for a pair of less popular teams from the MAC and Sun Belt Conferences due to a lack of bowl eligible teams from the usual Independence Bowl-affiliated conferences. However, this year the game will return to its roots as it will feature a battle from schools representing the SEC and Big 12 when the Georgia Bulldogs collide with the Texas A&M Aggies in a battle between two of the premier conferences in college football.

College Bowl Predictions
by Robert Ferringo - 12/15/2009

Loyalty can be one of a gambler’s worst enemies. That’s why bettors should never – or at least rarely – wager on their favorite teams. They lose objectivity and are sometime blinded by their feelings about their teams.

2009 Las Vegas Bowl Odds and Predictions
by Nicholas Tolomeo - 12/15/2009

The Las Vegas Bowl lucked out with this pairing, a meeting of No. 14 BYU and No. 18 Oregon State in a game three days before Christmas. It is the first time in the 18-year history of the bowl two ranked teams meet. While College Football bowl games and Las Vegas seem like a perfect match, BYU could not be further from the desired demographic for “Sin City”.

2009 Poinsettia Bowl Odds and Predictions
by Matt Severance - 12/15/2009

Utah and California are a lot alike heading into the Dec. 23 Poinsettia Bowl in San Diego. Both schools had hopes for a BCS bowl this year but those dreams went up in smoke pretty early for each team. Utah lost its third game of the season at Oregon, while Cal was in the Top 10 before getting crushed by Oregon and USC in the Bears’ third and fourth games, respectively.

2009 New Mexico Bowl Odds and Predictions
by T.O. Whenham - 12/11/2009

The 2009 NCAA football bowl season starts far from the heart of college football in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with the oh-so creatively named New Mexico Bowl. This is the fourth edition of this bowl game, and the second straight for Fresno State - the Bulldogs lost, 40-35, to Colorado State last year.
