NFL Picks: Rams vs. Seahawks Betting Odds and Predictions
by Trevor Whenham - 12/30/2010
There is no game this weekend that has more on the line than this one -- the winner wins the division, and the loser hits the golf course. The winner of the game will have another distinction, and this one is pretty dubious -- they will be the most pathetic division winner in recent and not-so-recent memory. Either the 7-9 Seahawks or the 8-8 Rams will be hosting a playoff game in just over a week. Anyone who would argue that the division winners don't deserve an automatic home game will have a whole lot of ammunition thanks to this mess. Ugly.

Week 17 NFL Picks and Odds
by Trevor Whenham - 12/30/2010
Santa came a day late last week, but he delivered two very nice NFL picks for us -- Baltimore beat up on Cleveland, and the Bears came out on top of the Jets in a crazy game. We're going to end the season the right way by continuing the momentum with these Week 17 NFL picks and odds.

Week 16 NFL Picks and Odds
by Trevor Whenham - 12/22/2010
The only good thing about last week's picks is that they are in the past. Ugly. These Week 16 NFL picks and odds are going to be better, though. It's a Christmas promise. This week we will concentrate on two games with plenty of playoff implications.

NFL Picks: New York Jets vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Betting Odds and Picks
by Robert Ferringo - 12/17/2010
The New York Jets head to the Steel City this weekend for what has become one of their biggest games of the season. They will take on Pittsburgh at 1 p.m. EST on Sunday in Heinz Field. And while the game isn't necessarily a must-win situation for either team, it's still an important game for both because of the playoff implications.

Week 15 NFL Picks and Odds
by Trevor Whenham - 12/16/2010
It was a frustrating week last week for these NFL picks. The Green Bay pick was a total disaster the second Aaron Rodgers got his bell rung. Tampa Bay won as I hoped they would, but they only did it by one point - not very helpful when they are one-point favorites. A push is better than a loss - that's all I have to tell myself. I have a good felling, though -- these Week 15 NFL picks and odds are going to be good. Really good.

NFL Picks: Eagles vs. Cowboys Betting Odds and Predictions
by Trevor Whenham - 12/12/2010
The last time these divisional rivals met Tony Romo outperformed Donovan McNabb as the Cowboys pounded the Eagles in the first round of the playoffs last year. It has been only 11 months since that game, but it's amazing how much has changed.

NFL Picks: Patriots at Bears Odds and Betting Predictions
by Robert Ferringo - 12/10/2010
They did it once. But can they do it again? For the Chicago Bears, that statement could refer to their stirring home upset of Philadelphia two weeks ago. Heading into that game the bobblehead media had all but proclaimed the Eagles as the top team in the NFC and Michael Vick as the league's MVP. The Bears played an exceptional, inspired game and pulled off a 34-27 upset.

Free NFL Picks: Browns at Bills Betting Odds and Sunday Predictions
by Jason Sharpe - 12/10/2010
Two of the more improved teams in the NFL over the course of the last month go head to head here as the Cleveland Browns (5-7 overall and 5-7 ATS) head into cold and snowy New York to take on the Buffalo Bills (2-10 overall and 6-5-1 ATS). The Bills come into this game a one-point favorite with the total in the game at 39.5 points.

NFL Picks: Steelers vs. Ravens Betting Odds and Predictions
by Trevor Whenham - 12/5/2010
It's always a big deal when these two teams play. They are divisional rivals that really don't like each other, and they play similar smash-mouth styles. The stakes couldn't be higher here -- the winner will have a solid lead in the division, while the loser may have to endure a battle for a Wild Card spot. If Baltimore wins the results would be even more decisive -- Baltimore has already beaten Pittsburgh once this year so they would dominate the tiebreaker and would effectively have a two-game lead with four games remaining.

Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers NFL Sunday Predictions and Betting Odds
by Robert Ferringo - 12/3/2010
I'm guessing not a lot of prognosticators had Dec. 5 circled as a critical juncture in the trajectory of the 2010 NFC South. But when Atlanta hits Raymond James Stadium at 4 p.m. on Sunday to face Tampa Bay, the division is going to take a significant swing one way or another. This game is not only a crucial one for both of the teams involved, but also it will have far-reaching ramifications for the entire conference.

Free NFL Picks: Cowboys at Colts Betting Predictions and Odds

The Dallas Cowboys (3-8 overall; 4-7 ATS) go on the road and try salvage the last bit of their season against an Indianapolis Colts (6-5 overall; 6-4-1 ATS) team that is also struggling of late, having lost three of their last four games overall. We will offer some free NFL picks for the game.

NFL Picks: Raiders at Chargers Betting Odds and Predictions
by Alan Matthews - 12/3/2010
Back on Oct. 10, the Oakland Raiders stunned the San Diego Chargers, 35-27, to end a 13-game losing streak to the Bolts, which was the second-longest losing streak by one team to another in the NFL (the Pats over the Bills at 14 is still active).

NFL Picks: Chargers vs. Colts Betting Odds and Predictions
by Trevor Whenham - 11/28/2010
When the Chargers and Colts play, it's usually a massive game between truly elite franchises. this year, strangely, it is a showdown between two teams desperate for wins so that they can stay relevant in a playoff race that neither is dominating.

NFL Picks: Giants vs. Eagles Betting Odds and Predictions
by Trevor Whenham - 11/21/2010
Last time we saw him, Michael Vick was as good as a quarterback can possibly be. Superhuman. That's not even an exaggeration. Now we get to see if there was just something in the air in Washington that night, if the Eagles were just fired up to face their former QB, or if Vick really has discovered some profound new level to operate on.

NFL Picks: Colts vs. Patriots Odds and Sunday Betting Predictions
by Robert Ferringo - 11/19/2010
The annual Tom Brady vs. Peyton Manning showdown takes place this Sunday as New England hosts Indianapolis at 4 p.m. on Sunday in Foxboro. This is another critical conference clash between these two rivals, and we should expect another classic from two of the best teams in the NFL.

NFL Picks: Patriots vs. Steelers Betting Odds and Sunday Predictions
by Trevor Whenham - 11/14/2010
This Sunday night contest is a battle between two of the four teams tied for the best record in the AFC - two teams that have long been at the top of the division. It should be a classic - a truly impressive war. The problem, though, is that neither one of the squads is coming in off of a great game, and there are questions to be asked about both squads.

Free NFL Picks: Lions at Bills Betting Odds and Sunday Predictions
by Jason Sharpe - 11/12/2010
This has the looks of a very ugly football game as the Detroit Lions (2-6 and 7-1 ATS) go on the road to play the Buffalo Bills (0-8 and 3-4-1 ATS) this Sunday at 1:00 p.m. EST. These two teams come into this game having combined for just two wins so far in the 2010 season. The Bills enter this contest a three-point favorite with an 'over/under' total of 44 points, according to NFL point spreads.

NFL Picks: Cowboys vs. Packers Betting Odds and Sunday Predictions
by Trevor Whenham - 11/7/2010
This is one of the hardest previews I have ever written. I normally don't refer to a thesaurus when I write, but I might have to now - I can only think of so many ways to say that the Cowboys suck, and I don't want to bore you with repetitiveness. However I say it, though, the clear fact is that this is a really lousy team, and that they really don't have any excuse for being as bad as they are.

Free NFL Picks: Dolphins at Ravens Betting Odds and Sunday Predictions

Week 9 NFL Picks and Odds
by Trevor Whenham - 11/4/2010
This week marks the exact halfway point of the 17-week NFL season. To say it has been a strange season would be a real understatement. Teams that were supposed to be very good are lousy, while others that seemed hopeless are sitting in first place. With these Week 9 NFL picks and odds I'll try to bring some order to the chaos. There are two games that jump out as offering some nice value this week - a huge and unlikely battle that will have a big impact on the top of the AFC West, and an inter-conference contest between public teams.

NFL Picks: Titans vs. Chargers Betting Odds and Sunday Predictions
by Trevor Whenham - 10/31/2010
There are things you could be worried about with the Titans - Chris Johnson isn't playing up to the level we have come to expect of him, the quarterbacking hasn't been perfect, and so on. When it comes to this game, though, none of that matters compared to the nightmare that is the San Diego Chargers.

NFL Picks for Week 8: Dolphins at Bengals Odds and Betting Predictions
by Jason Sharpe - 10/30/2010
Two evenly matched teams take the field this Sunday when the Miami Dolphins (3-3 and 4-2 ATS) and the Cincinnati Bengals (2-4 and 2-4 ATS) do battle at 1 p.m. EST in Cincinnati. The Bengals are one-point favorites over the Dolphins with a total of 43.5.

NFL Picks: Vikings vs. Packers Betting Odds and Football Predictions
by Trevor Whenham - 10/24/2010
The circus arrives in Green Bay this weekend. Brett Favre makes just his second return to Lambeau field in enemy colors. Unlike last time, though, he comes into town struggling badly and under a dark cloud thanks to some allegedly horrible choices he made when he was with the Jets.

NFL Picks: Patriots vs. Chargers Betting Odds and Predictions
by Robert Ferringo - 10/23/2010
It was just two scant years ago that these AFC juggernauts were meeting in the conference title game. The Patriots were two sweet sips of victory away from the Greatest Season of All Time and the Chargers were a worthy impediment on the end of a 46-18 four-year run. But since that fierce game in Foxboro these two franchises have found the fight to be a little tougher. Neither team has won a playoff game in the two seasons since and neither currently leads its division. Most of the best players from that AFC Championship Game are no longer with these teams and both appear in the midst of a rebuilding effort.

Free NFL Picks: Rams at Buccaneers Betting Odds
by Jason Sharpe - 10/23/2010
Coming into the 2010 season the matchup between the St. Louis Rams (3-3 overall and 4-2 ATS) and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-2 overall and 3-2 ATS) looked to be one of the ugliest games on the NFL schedule. Now less then two months into the season these teams come in two of the biggest surprises in the NFL this year.

NFL Picks: New Orleans at Tampa Bay Odds and Sunday Betting Predictions
by Robert Ferringo - 10/14/2010
That the New Orleans Saints are going through a post-championship hangover is probably the most predictable thing about this wild 2010 NFL season. That the Tampa Bay Bucs have a chance to grab first place in the NFC South about one-third into this season has to be one of the least predictable things.

NFL Picks: Green Bay vs. Washington Betting Odds and Sunday Predictions
by Robert Ferringo - 10/8/2010
If going against the public is something in your NFL betting wheelhouse, then this week should leave you with plenty of action. There are currently four games in which one side is taking at least 83 percent of the wagers. San Diego, New Orleans and Atlanta are all heavy public plays this week. But one team takes the crown, with over 85 percent of all best on one side, and that would be the Pack from Green Bay.

NFL Predictions: Titans Vs. Giants Odds and Betting Picks
by Robert Ferringo - 9/23/2010
Turnovers and toughness: they are two essential elements of this beautiful and barbaric game of football. And while these two core components are difficult to handicap or predict they will be essential to determining which team, the Titans or the Giants, can avoid the agitation of a two-game losing streak at the end of business on Sunday.

Cincinnati hosts divisional rival Baltimore at 1 p.m. this Sunday in the first AFC North divisional game of the year. The Bengals are home dogs to one of the most ferocious beasts in the AFC and are looking to avoid falling into an 0-2 hole to start what was supposed to be a promising season.

NFL Predictions - Week 1 Odds and Picks: Packers Vs. Eagles
by Robert Ferringo - 9/8/2010
The good news for the Kevin Kolb Era is that it would be difficult to get off to worse start than the Donovan McNabb Era did. This will be the first time in 10 years that the Philadelphia Eagles will enter a home opener without McNabb's hands in another Eagle's groin. Philadelphia opens the season at home against Green Bay at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 12. Newbie starter Kevin Kolb will lead the Eagles on Sunday, and after a sloppy preseason he has as much pressure on him as any quarterback in the NFL.

NFL Predictions: Steelers at Broncos Betting Odds and Picks
by Alan Matthews - 8/28/2010
Sunday night's game between Pittsburgh and Denver is the lone game on the schedule that day and because it is nationally televised by FOX there will be live betting on Bodog, if you are so inclined. This is a "rematch" of Week 9 in Denver last season when the Steelers won, 28-10. The rushing attacks were the difference in that one as Pittsburgh's Rashard Mendenhall ran for 155 yards, becoming the fourth player since 1970 to top 150 yards rushing in a win at Denver.
