Golf Handicapping: Phil Mickelson
by Trevor Whenham - 7/23/2013
Phil Mickelson has had a remarkable two weeks - and that's an understatement. A guy who has always struggled on links courses showed he was serious about shedding that reputation with his win in the Scottish Open. Then he went out and put together one of the most impressive final rounds in Open Championship history to capture his fifth major. It was all wildly-impressive and a clear sign that Mickelson isn't done yet.

Betting Tiger Woods at the 2013 British Open
by Trevor Whenham - 7/17/2013
Heading into the Open Championship this week, Tiger Woods presents a real handicapping puzzle. On one hand he is the best golfer we have ever seen, and he has four wins this year to show that he is still dangerous. On the other hand, his major tournaments have been rough this year. The controversy surrounding the illegal drop at the Masters cost him two strokes and likely some focus.

Golf Odds and Predictions: John Deere Classic
by Alan Matthews - 7/10/2013
With the British Open up next, most of the big-name players are already overseas working on their games in the unique weather/links conditions. Thus, only six of the world's Top 30 are playing the John Deere Classic at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill this week. The past four champions of this event are teeing it up, but that's just two guys.

Golf Odds and Predictions: Greenbrier Classic
by Alan Matthews - 7/3/2013
This week the Tour moves to the Greenbrier Classic at The Old White TPC in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. This is a pretty new event, only around since 2010. That year, it played incredibly easy with Stuart Appleby closing with the fifth and most recent 59 in PGA Tour history to finish at 258.

Golf Odds and Predictions: AT&T National
by Alan Matthews - 6/26/2013
Now the pros move on to the AT&T National held at Congressional outside Washington D.C., the course that hosted the 2011 U.S. Open when Rory McIlroy won in record-setting fashion. With Woods and Rose out, just two of the Top 10 are here: Adam Scott and Brandt Snedeker.

Betting on Golfers Not Named Tiger Woods
by Trevor Whenham - 5/30/2013
We are in the era of Tiger Woods. He's playing so well, and is so visible, that he is the only guy most casual golf bettors are interested in betting in. He has a very good chance to win every time he starts a tournament, but he's not unbeatable. When he is this dominant that means that other guys are going to be at higher odds than they normally would - and that means that there is value to be found.

Golf Betting Advice: How to Deal with Tiger's Dominance
by Trevor Whenham - 5/23/2013
Breaking news - Tiger Woods is really good at golf. For quite a while injuries and general stupidity seemed determined to make it so that we would never again see how good he can be. This year, however, he is back to being just as dominant as ever.

PGA Tour Golf Handicapping: Rory McIlroy Struggling
by Trevor Whenham - 3/5/2013
A few months ago, Rory McIlroy was on top of the world. He won his second major last year, and then he went on to win the money titles on both the European Tour and the PGA. He parlayed that into a massive contract with Nike. He wasn't quite ready to be the next Tiger, but at this point he was bigger than the great one has been in a long time.

European Tour Picks: Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship Odds
by Alan Matthews - 1/15/2013
After going 0-for-2 in picking winners of the first two PGA Tour events of the season in Hawaii, I'm glad the Tour is starting the California Swing this week with the Humana Challenge in partnership with the Clinton Foundation at PGA West in La Quinta. It's a solid field led by Phil Mickelson in his 2013 debut. And Lefty usually fares well on the California Swing.
