Dallas Stars Odds to Win the Stanley Cup Championship

The Dallas Stars have aggressively made changes this offseason, but most won’t show up immediately on the roster. Joe Nieuwendyk was replaced as GM by Jim Nill, a long-time part of the success in Detroit. Lindy Ruff was hired as head coach after serving in the same role in Buffalo from 1997 to last February. It’s a new direction for a team that has desperately needed one. It’s not enough for the oddsmakers from Bovada just yet, though — at 40/1 to win the Stanley Cup they are far from the elite of the league just yet. That has the potential to rise slightly and create some value, so check below for the latest numbers. They don’t deserve to be considered a contender now. If they keep up the aggressive moves like acquiring Tyler Seguin from Boston because the Bruins were tired of his off-ice issues, then they could soon be a real contender.
