Minnesota Vikings Odds to Win the Super Bowl

Last year the Minnesota Vikings’ season proved what we had long suspected - Adrian Peterson isn’t human. Coming back from ACL and MCL injuries in a very short time period, Peterson put together a season for the ages last year. The team fed upon his success as the season progressed, winning 10 games to sneak into the playoffs. Peterson is back, surrounded by a more mature Christian Ponder, who really showed progress last year, and the addition of Greg Jennings at wide receiver. Percy Harvin is gone to Seattle, but given his injury issues, his reputation exceeded his contribution lately, so the public will overestimate the impact of his departure. Bovada has the team at 40/1 to win the Super Bowl (check below for the latest odds as this is a team that could experience shifting prices). That puts them squarely in the middle of the pack in the league. The first four games before the bye - at Detroit and Chicago, followed by home games against Cleveland and Pittsburgh - are the kind of games a contender needs to win, so they will be a crucial test.
