Paul Malignaggi has been hated on by many for his loudmouth and showboat tactics. Many other people are just disgusted by feather fist punchers in general, but Paulie pays it no mind. The Brooklyn native feels he is already world class but he has yet to step up the competition of that status. He has recently started to take on fighters with solid records and if he can continue to win and climb up the charts slowly he has a chance to make some money in this sport. Paul Malignaggi not only has his Italian heritage, he is also a Brooklyn bred white boy with super-quick hands. Malignaggi definitely has a potentially huge fan base, if he doesn't annoy them too much first.

Paul Malignaggi is an orthodox fighter who thrives on angles and quickness to land his soft, short punches. He likes to use distance to make his opponents look bad and to keep a nice safety zone between them. Paulie has a lot of maturity and calmness in the ring, which should help him as he climbs the rankings.
His obvious weakness is no knockout power, but he has quick feet and fantastic boxing skills. The good thing for Paul Malignaggi is that he knows he can't punch, so his ego hasn't and never should get in the way. I don't think Malignaggi has the kind of skills to become a pound-for-pound entrant, but he definitely will fight for a title at some point and fight on HBO or Showtime. As for now, Paulie is still unbeaten and seems to be garnering a fairly decent buzz, even if not all of it is good.
