NASCAR investors looking for an edge on Sunday should keep in mind that there have been 11 races at Kansas. Greg Biffle, Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart have won twice at Kansas, but eight different drivers have recorded victories overall. Jimmie Johnson won from the pole in 2008 and leads all active drivers with three poles at Kansas. The only time Gordon has not finished in the top-ten was in 2004 (13th) and 2006 (39th). Four of 11 races at Kansas have been won on fuel mileage. Brad Keselowski won the June race with Dale Earnhardt, Jr. a close second. Biffle is this race’s defending champion.

Bodog has Dario Franchitti set as the 4/1 favorite to defend his Indy 500 title, but he will have to do so from ninth on the starting grid as the IndyCar Series heads to The Brickyard to celebrate the 100th anniversary of “the Greatest Spectacle in Racing” on Sunday, May 29 at 12:15 p.m. EST. NASCAR Sprint Cup Futures Odds and Predictions
by Darin Zank - 5/24/2011
Coming into this NASCAR Sprint Cup season Carl Edwards had won 18 races in his career, including the last two of last year, but never the season championship. As this season nears the one-third mark No. 99 appears on his way to changing that latter matter. More importantly to our discussion on these pages, though, is that racing bettors find themselves faced with two questions; Can Edwards hang on? And might his chances be worth a wager on a Sprint Cup futures board? Here are some of my predictions for current Sprint Cup futures odds.

NASCAR Picks: FEDEX 400 – Autism Speaks Odds and Predictions
by Christopher G. Shepard - 5/13/2011
Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick’s fight on pit-row last weekend almost ruined Regan Smith’s celebration at Darlington for his first NASCAR win. Almost. NASCAR Betting Picks: Showtime Southern 500 Odds and Predictions
by Christopher G. Shepard - 5/6/2011
Auto racing enthusiasts should keep in mind that last year Denny Hamlin won this race while pole-sitter Jamie McMurray finished second place. However, in 107 races at Darlington the winner has come from the pole only 19 times and only 35 times from the front row. Kyle Busch the youngest driver to win at Darlington, and he is one of only two (Kevin Harvick) drivers who has won more than one race this year.

NASCAR Picks: Samsung Mobile 500 Odds and Predictions
by Christopher G. Shepard - 4/9/2011
Gamblers should note that only one driver at Texas Motor Speedway has won from the pole; Kasey Kahne in 2006. However, 14 of 20 races have been won from the top-10 starting position. Pole position has been anything but lucrative. Take Tony Stewart, for instance: he won the pole in 2010 but finished 32nd. Meanwhile, Carl Edwards leads all drivers with three wins at Fort Worth. Denny Hamlin is the defending race winner and swept both Texas races last year. Hamlin, who also finished second in September of 2009, will start the race from the 23rd spot.

Daytona 500 Predictions - Daytona 500 Picks
by T.O. Whenham - 2/18/2011
When it comes to NASCAR, I’ll admit to being a fairweather fan -- I show up for the big events, but don’t pay total attention from week to week. There are a lot of people out there like me, and a lot of people who bet on the sport only on the biggest days. There is no day in the sport bigger than this Sunday, however, as this is the day of “The Great American Race,” the Daytona 500. This is the weekend when everyone who cares about the sport even a little bit is paying attention. Here’s a look at how the field sets up with some Daytona 500 predictions and picks (all odds are from BetUS):
