Kentucky Derby winner Street Sense is the favorite heading into this weekend's 132nd running of the $1-million Preakness Stakes, where a win would set up a shot at the Triple Crown at the Belmont Stakes on June 9.

The Preakness, the middle jewel of thoroughbred racing's Triple Crown, will also feature the Derby runner-up, Hard Spun, and third-place finisher Curlin.

Bet the Preakness at betED, which is offering the following odds: Street Sense (+125); Hard Spun (+275); Curlin (+350); CP West (+1200); King of the Roxy (+1400); Xchanger (+1500); and Flying First Class (+1600).

Just go to betED and scroll down to Horses, where you'll find the 2007 Preakness Stakes.

Street Sense will face a total of eight rivals in his bid to become the seventh Derby-Preakness winner in the past 11 years.

A field of nine 3-year-olds was entered Wednesday, with Street Sense drawing the No. 8 post position for the 1 3-16th-mile race at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland on Saturday.

Street Sense is coming off a 2¼-length win in the Derby two weeks ago against 19 rivals.

The colt, trained by Carl Nafzger, had a final practice run Tuesday at Churchill Downs, running five furlongs in 1:00 with Derby jockey Calvin Borel.

Hard Spun, who will not have an official workout between the Derby and Preakness, jogged a quarter-mile and galloped a mile and a half at Delaware Park Tuesday morning.

Curlin had a final run Monday and left Churchill Downs Wednesday for the flight to Baltimore. Jockey Robby Albarado, who rode the colt to wins in the Rebel and Arkansas Derby and a third-place finish in the Kentucky Derby, will ride Curlin in the Preakness.

The Preakness is slated for 5 pm ET on Saturday.
