Doc has been handicapping all major horse races since he started the company back in 1971. Doc has won 8 of the past 16 Preakness Stakes races.

The 2011 Kentucky Derby featured a wide open field and Animal Kingdom came through to win at 20-1 odds. He will likely run in the Preakness Stakes and we do expect a few Kentucky holdovers as well.  

The Preakness offers different obstacles when handicapping the race. There will be no six figure superfecta payout. Instead this will be a race the size of only half of the Kentucky Derby Field. This makes life much easier as trouble is unlikely and horses can run up to their capabilities. Doc’s Sports nailed the trifecta in 2007 and Robert Ferringo nailed the winner in 2010. Robert Ferringo also nailed a $5 win bet on Animal Kingdom in the 2011 Kentucky Derby.
