Enjoy those NFL Survivor Pools this year because a few big NFL events are likely on the horizon that will change them. Of course the first is the presumed labor stoppage that seems imminent for next year – I don’t think there will be scab players in 2011 so you’ll have to live with a college football survivor pool of some sort (can’t say I’ve been in one of those yet). Although the NFL certainly should get going at some point next year, but I wouldn’t count on Week 1.

The best part of the NFL is that there are hundreds of different ways to get some action and hopefully make a bit of money. You can play your basic point spreads, totals or money line, but there is so much more out there.
