WNBA: August Crunch Time

In every sport there is always a period of crucial time in the schedule and August is that time for the WNBA. Most teams have around seven to nine games left on their schedules and, for teams who are looking to make the playoffs, it's crunch time. It's no surprise that the defending champs, the Detroit Shock, are the top team in the WNBA and if they continue to play good ball, Even without All-Star MVP Cheryl Ford, this Shock team can repeat as champs. Here are my top 13 teams in the WNBA and my prediction of who is going to make the playoffs and who will be watching at home.

We are over a month through the 2007 WNBA season and so far there are some big surprises throughout the league. We've started out hot in the first week in the WNBA and now the oddsmakers have adjusted so now it's time for some serious handicapping. Here is my list from top to bottom of the best and worst teams in the league. I will also note any good or bad trends or teams to stay away from.

WNBA Betting Tips

If you're like most people, you probably don't spend much time thinking about the WNBA, never mind betting on it. Maybe you should. I'm not suggesting that it's the world's greatest league or that your world is lacking if you don't watch it. That's obviously not true. It doesn't take much imagination to see, though, that betting on a league with only 13 teams in it is certainly attractive. It's relatively easy to get a feel for which teams are worth backing and which ones are worth betting against. Teams face each other frequently, and face recent common opponents constantly so relative comparisons are straightforward. On a practical level, then, WNBA betting is worth a look.

2007 WNBA Predictions

I can't believe that this is the 11th season of the WNBA. And yes, this is my 11th season WNBA betting and handicapping. This new season should be a very good and competive one, there are about four or five teams that can compete for the WNBA title.
