Oakland Athletics Odds to Win the World Series

The Oakland Athletics have had a couple of dominating periods in their century-plus of existence. The team was founded as the Philadelphia Athletics and then moved west to Kansas City before finally settling on their current home in Oakland. Oakland won three consecutive titles during the 1970s, with Charles Finley running the operations. Finley would then break up the team and was forced to sell the squad because of an impending divorce. Oakland would again rise to prominence in the late-1980s under manger Tony La Russa and made three straight World Series, but was only able to win one.

The Athletics were founded in 1901 and have won nine World Series. The Athletics currently play in the American League West Division and are located in Oakland, CA. The Oakland Athletics play their home games at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum.
