Doc's Online Baseball Handicapping Notes

If you followed the advice we gave for Doc's Baseball Notes last week, you would have compiled a 5-1 record and lots of profits. Doc's will continue to provide you with expert analysis each Friday during the baseball season.

Houston gets revenge on Atlanta - May 7th, 8th, 9th!
The Braves were extremely successful against the Astros last year (10-5); but with a combination of Houston additions like Roger Clemens and Andy Pettitte, and Atlanta minus Javey Lopez, Gary Sheffield and Greg Maddux; things are now in the Astros' favor. Houston is 18-10 on the year (First Place in the NL Central) and has the best road record in baseball at 8-3. The Braves are struggling as they have put together a 13-14 on the year. They lost two of three at home to the upstart Padres.

Top play of the series would be Pettitte, who is 3-0 lifetime, with a 2.77 ERA, against Atlanta. The Axe comes down on the Braves.

Padres sweep the Reds - May 11th, 12th, 13th!
Cincinnati takes its paper-thin pitching staff to San Diego and it does not look good for the road-weary Reds. The Cincinnati bullpen has an ERA of over six runs a game and is very overworked.

The Padres are 18-10 on the year with a record of 11-5 at home, and three late night games are definitely in San Diego's favor. Don't be afraid to lay the number here.
