The Boston Red Sox have long been known for the Curse of the Bambino, as they went 86 years without winning a World Series after they sold Babe Ruth to the New York Yankees. During this time they have had numerous heartbreaks and none hurt more than in 1986, when they were just one out away from winning the World Series with a two-run lead until collapsing and losing the series.
