The NBA all-star break is upon us and some things still remain the same. Carmelo Anthony is still in Denver, the Wizards still can’t win on the road, the Heat are still not as good as everyone thought they would be, and the Cavaliers are not as bad as everyone thought they would, they’re worse. Here is this week’s edition of the NBA power rankings with previous ranking listed in parentheses followed by odds to win the NBA Finals courtesy of BetUS.

NBA Power Rankings

This was supposed to the year of the “superteam” with everyone expecting a showdown between the Big Three in Miami from the Eastern Conference and the two-time defending champion Los Angeles Lakers from the Western Conference in the NBA Finals. Instead we have two aging wonders, the Boston Celtics and the San Antonio Spurs, atop their respect conferences. All of a sudden – even though the Heat may not be dead yet -- there is a dead heat to land the top seeds in each conference. Here are our first NBA power rankings for 2010-11, and we will be updating these every other week during the regular season.
