5-Unit Play Liga MX Take Pachuca +.5 (-105) over America (11 p.m. EST, Saturday August 30) (Graded after regulation time - 90min - plus injury time - need at least a draw here)
Pachuca have taken at least a point in seven of the last nine matches. They always raise their level of play when facing America. Pachuca is generally a very underrated club recently, and we think they have a chance to capture points in this one. America have won three straight, but two of those were against two of the worst clubs in Liga MX, Atlas and Queretaro. Their road win over Tigres was impressive but included an own goal, so the result is somewhat skewed. Pachuca have been stronger defensively thus far this season, and they can leapfrog America on the table with three points here. They have won in Mexico City before, but we expect them to earn at least a point here, which would cash this ticket for us tonight.
5-Unit Play MLS Take San Jose +.5 (-140) over Austin (8:30 p.m. EST, Saturday August 30) (Graded after regulation time - 90min - plus injury time - need at least a draw here)
Heading into the weekend, these two clubs are in Wild Card position in the Western Conference and they are more than three points clear of dropping out, so we think both would be more than happy with a point here. San Jose is the better side and they have a +4 goal differential compared to -6 for Austin. Despite that, they are tied on points on the table. But the Earthquakes have had a tougher schedule. San Jose will miss Espinoza, who is suspended for this one, but they have plenty of players who can create opportunities, which is evidenced by their 52 goals scored this season, tied with San Diego for the most in the Western Conference. What really stands out to us is that these sides have played 10 times, and Austin has collected three points only once. They have seven draws in that time, and we could easily see another here or an Earthquakes outright win.

4-Unit Play. Take #200101/200102 ‘Over’ 2.5 (-110) Newcastle at Leeds (12:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 30)
Newcastle has faced a couple tough opponents to open the season so this is the perfect spot for them to get rolling but I also like Leeds to be highly motivated at home and I look for a very competitive match similar to the 2-2 result the last time these clubs met in 2023 in league action. Leeds is off a loss in EFL Cup action in mid-week plus they lost 5-0 in their most recent EPL match but that was on the road. Now they are back home where they had a 1-0 victory to open up the season. Newcastle is off a tough 3-2 loss to Liverpool and that was at home. In the season opener on the road they were at Arsenal and that was a scoreless draw. Two very tough matches but now they can open things up here at Leeds. Given the situational factors here the emphasis for both clubs will be on attacking and I also do not expect either club to be willing to settle for a draw as Newcastle is very hungry to get back into the win column and same with Leeds after B2B losses (including the EFL Cup action). So look for at least a 2-1 type of match here. 4* OVER 2.5 (-110) in Leeds

3-Unit Play. Spain. La Liga. Take Over 2.5 Goals (-210 @ FD) Real Madrid vs Mallorca (Saturday @ 3:30 pm est)
Real Madrid at home is always a good recipe for goals and this matchup with Mallorca looks like another chance to see the scoreboard light up. The last two times these sides met the total went over and there is no reason to think this one will be any different. Madrid have too much firepower with players who can create chances out of nothing and the Bernabeu crowd always seems to push them into attack mode. This number could be covered by Madrid alone if they get rolling early but don’t sleep on Mallorca finding a way to grab one themselves. A sneaky counter or set piece goal would only help the cause. Everything points to another game sailing past 2.5.

4-unit: Take Napoli -1.5 (-105) vs. Cagliari (Saturday, Aug 30th, 2:45 p.m., Paramount+) Italy/Serie A
I'm backing Napoli to build on their early momentum and take full control at home. Their Serie A opener was a statement, highlighting the squad’s depth and precision. Kevin De Bruyne wasted no time making an impact, scoring in his debut and elevating an already fluid attack. Even with Romelu Lukaku sidelined by a thigh injury, Napoli has the weapons to exploit Cagliari’s defensive vulnerabilities. Cagliari opened with a draw and now has added strain after losing forward Roberto Piccoli. Napoli has dominated this matchup historically, especially at the Maradona, where they’ve blanked Cagliari in their last two visits. With superior possession and tactical execution, Napoli should dictate the pace and pull away. Thanks & GL! Scott Spreitzer.
3-unit: Take the OVER 2.5 goals (-135) Arsenal vs. Liverpool (Sunday, August 31st, 11:30 a.m., USA Network) England/Premier League
Liverpool enters with momentum under Arne Slot, whose aggressive, transition-focused system has produced multiple goals in recent outings. The team has scored in every match this season, showing versatility in both open play and counterattacks. Arsenal remains one of the league’s most efficient offenses, especially on set pieces, where they convert chances at a high rate. Slot’s pressing approach could expose Arsenal’s vulnerability in hostile environments, particularly at Anfield. At the same time, Arsenal’s speed and precision on the break make them dangerous against Liverpool’s high line. With tactical setups, historical data, and current form all pointing toward a high-scoring contest, the over is our play. Thanks & GL! Scott Spreitzer.
