6-Unit Play Liga MX Take San Luis/Pachuca OVER 2.5 (-125) (7 p.m. EST, Sunday August 23) (Graded after regulation time - 90min - plus injury time)
It’s still early in the season, but San Luis has been a Bottom 5 defense so far as they have allowed an average of two goals per match. Pachuca has allowed six through four matches for an average of 1.5 goals allowed. And San Luis’s defensive woes don’t count the Leagues Cup, where they allowed 10 goals in their three Group Stage matches. San Luis was shut out last time at America, but the Mexico City club is one of the best defensive sides in Liga MX and San Luis should have scored at least a goal as they had some chances and produced some good offense despite being kept off the scoresheet. They were also a man down for almost a full half. We expect them to have success here at home vs. Pachuca and they will be happy to be playing at home as this is only their second home match since mid-July. These sides have not combined for fewer than two goals in their last 11 matches, and seven of those saw three or more goals scored. Pachuca allowed three goals last time vs. Puebla and we think this will be another wide open matchup and we think four or more goals is not out of the realm of possibility.

3-unit Liverpool -115 vs. Newcastle, August 23rd, 11:30 a.m. USA Network
We believe Liverpool will beat Newcastle United today because they enter the new Premier League season with superior squad depth, technical quality, and a proven ability to perform in high-intensity away fixtures. The Reds have maintained a strong historical edge in this fixture, remaining undefeated in a long sequence of recent league encounters. At the same time, their attacking options provide multiple ways to break down organized defenses. Under new management, Liverpool have shown sharpness in pre-season and possess the experience to handle the hostile atmosphere at St James Park effectively. Newcastle face challenges integrating changes and handling the pressure of opening against a top side, which should allow Liverpool to control key moments of the game and secure all three points on the road.

Italian Serie A:
6-Unit Play. Take #201229/201230 'Over' 2.5 -140 Sassuolo at Atalanta (2:45 p.m., Sun, Aug 23)
This is the Italian Serie A opener for these clubs and these clubs have a history of higher-scoring matches when they meet as 4 straight meetings and 7 of the last 9 have totaled at least 3 goals. Sassuolo also off of 3 straight higher scoring matches in Coppa Italia and friendly action as all 3 totaled at least 3 goals and those matches averaged 4 goals. Atalanta is sure to respond here off a scoreless draw in Conference League action and also the coaching change factor for this match-up also adds value to the over the way I see it from a tactical perspective. 6* OVER 2.5 -140 in Atalanta
Romania Liga 1:
3-Unit Play. Take #206821/206822 'Over' 2.5 -140 FCSB at CFR Cluj (2:30 p.m., Sun, Aug 23)
No write-up for this one but the research has been done including situational analytics and this is a great spot for goals. 3* OVER 2.5 -140 in CFR Cluj

7 Unit Play. Take #201852 Over 2.5 Goals in Villarreal @ Atletico Madrid -120 (11a.m., Sunday, August 23 ESPN2) We hit with this total last Sunday with Villarreal and we will ride the over for a second straight week. Villarreal gave up two early goals last week to a team that was in the lower division, and I expect Atletico Madrid to have a field day scoring in this game. Villarreal has one way to be competitive in this game and that is to score at least two goals. 4 of the last 5 games Villarreal has played have seen at least 3 goals being scored. 6 goals were scored the last time these two teams met in May.
