2008 NBA Draft Betting by Sportsbetting.com - 06/25/2008
This isn't the first time we say this (but it might be the last if my editor has his way) but we are getting closer to the dog days of summer, from a bettor's perspective at least. The only consistent action to be had comes from the baseball diamond, but there are special events (Euro 2008, tennis, golf, boxing, etc.) to keep us players on our toes and provide a little opportunity for more action.

Basketball Betting Keeps Going Thanks To WNBA by SPORTSBETTING.COM - 06/18/2008
The NBA Finals are over and though it may seem like an end to basketball betting for awhile, it doesn't need to be.

U.S. Open Betting – Tiger Is Tops by SPORTSBETTING.COM - 06/11/2008
It wasn't unrealistic for Tiger Woods to believe he had a legitimate shot at the Grand Slam in 2008 before the start of the Masters at Augusta. But the best golfer in the world stumbled in the first major, putting an early damper on the Grand Slam talk…and then he had knee surgery. So exactly what Tiger Woods will do after teeing-off this week at the US Open is an interesting question.

Power Has Shifted in AL East by SPORTSBETTING.COM - 05/29/2008
With teams like the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox owning membership, the American League East is the division that attracts the most attention.

Bet on NFL Marquee Matchups NOW by Sportsbetting.com - 05/09/2008
The worst thing about the NFL is the offseason is too damn long - we're NFL junkies, who aren't satisfied with a tease here and there related to free agent signings, or the NFL draft. The seven months between the final gun of the Super Bowl and Opening Kickoff weekend is looooooong. We start looking forward to zone blitzes, enthralling Belichick press conferences, TO meltdowns (wait, it will happen this year), Raider victories (hee…hee, just kidding), around mid-March.

Kansas the Favorite to Cut Down the Nets by Sportsbetting.com - 03/26/2008
Where did it all go wrong? I'm scanning the carnage in my bracket, looking for answers and really have none. UConn in the Elite Eight, Georgetown meeting Kansas in the round of eight, a long run by Pittsburgh…it all adds up to "better luck next year"…although I do have Kansas beating Texas in the Championship game, which can still happen.

Teams on the Bubble by SPORTSBETTING.COM - 03/07/2008
Selection Sunday is nine days away and you can feel the nervousness on campuses all across the US. If you're a "bubble" team, then you know all about the pressure, as each game and maybe even each shot puts you either closer to the tournament, or completely out of it.

Will Manning Top Brady in the Super Bowl? Bet on It! by SPORTSBETTING.COM - 01/31/2007
While cornerbacks and wideouts compete directly against each other, much in the same way defensive and offensive linemen do, quarterbacks do not directly do battle. However, much of the pre-game hype and analysis for the Super Bowl focuses on the Brady versus Manning matchup.

Super Bowl First Touchdown Prop by SPORTSBETTING.COM - 01/25/2007
One Super Bowl proposition bet that always receives a considerable amount of attention from bettors in the days leading up to kick-off is "Who will score the first touchdown of the game?" This week is no exception, as money has been coming in on it since the lines went up.

Clients Backing LSU in Big Way by SPORTSBETTING.COM - 01/04/2008
Monday marks the end of the college football season and this has been one of the wackiest years in a long time. Even commentator Beano Cooke, who's been watching college football since the days when Navy used to play on New Year's Day, states that he can't remember a season like this.

Bettors - And Announcers - Love Favre by SPORTSBETTING.COM - 11/28/2007
Brett Favre is one of the best to ever play the game, no question about it. He set another Green Bay record on Thanksgiving in the Packers' 37-26 triumph over the Detroit Lions by recording 20-straight completions (besting the previous mark of 18). It came as quite a surprise to the announcers that Favre didn't already posses the record to start with.

Bettors Don't Buy Into Top-25 Hype by SPORTSBETTING.COM - 10/25/2007
Back in the day the teams that were highly-ranked, like the Nebraska and Miami teams of the 1990s, would crush their opponents by a large margin and often cover very large spreads.

Bettors Backing Indy Against Jaguars by SPORTSBETTING.COM - 10/19/2007
The bottles of champagne are likely chilled and ready. The 1972 Miami Dolphins, the only undefeated team in the history of the NFL, are hoping to uncork the bottles this weekend now that there are only two undefeated teams left. The Indianapolis Colts play a very tough Monday Night Football game against the Jaguars while the Dolphins have a chance to preserve their legacy against the unscathed Pats.

San Diego In Must-Win Situation by SPORTSBETTING.COM - 10/03/2007
Having 10 teams in mid-September that can all say they have not lost a game is not that out of the ordinary. But it is the teams that managed that feat that no one expected. It's not that having 10 teams without a loss in mid-September really looked that out of place; it was more a case of who was undefeated that seemed strange.

Will Bengals-Patriots Be Highest Total of the Year? by SPORTSBETTING.COM - 09/27/2007
Fans and bettors of the Canadian Football League are used to football totals that are regularly posted in the 50s and the high-scoring games usually generate a lot of excitement, a ton of points and an almost ridiculous number of punts.

Lots of Line Movement on BSC Futures by SPORTSBETTING.COM - 09/07/2007
You can't win the BCS Championship in one game, but you can lose it in one game, so the saying goes. No one knows that as well as the Michigan Wolverines, who dropped their game on Saturday to D1-AA Appalachian State as the No. 5 team in the country. Since then they have taken the biggest drop in the history of the Top 25 polls as they dropped out of the polls altogether.
