Got World Cup Withdrawal? Get Euro and World Cup Futures Odds

Going through World Cup withdrawal? We’ve got you covered at Bodog’s online sportsbook. Believe it or not, we’ve already posted odds to win the both the 2012 European Championship and the 2014 World Cup. Hey, don’t blame us! People are actually betting on this stuff.
The early money for Euro 2012 is coming in on the two favorites, World Cup winner Spain at 4/1 and the team the Spaniards defeated to get to the finals, Germany at 11/2. Remember the Germans were a young side in South Africa and still did well. In two years, they stand to be that much better.
As for the rest of the Euro 2012 favorites, the Dutch, English and Italians are all at 8/1, followed by Portugal at 12/1 and France at 14/1. The two hosts, Poland and Ukraine, are at 50/1 and 40/1, respectively. Receiving some early love from long shot bettors is Turkey at 40/1. The long shot of our field? Wales at 200/1.
As for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, we’ve got the hosts as 3/1 favorites, followed by Spain and Argentina, both at 11/2. No surprises there. The United States, meanwhile, is at 50/1, which isn’t a bad number in my opinion. That is, if you don’t mind tying up your money for four years. And for all our Canadian bettors, you can bet on your country at 1500/1 odds. But remember, first you have to qualify.
For soccer bettors who would appreciate a bit of a shorter time frame to make good on their bets, we’ve also posted odds to win the 2011 UEFA Champions League, English Premier League, La Liga in Spain, Series A in Italy, the German Bundesliga and Ligue 1 in France.
According to the odds makers, it appears as though Barcelona is in for a successful season. They’re both the 7/2 favorites to win the Champions League and 4/5 favorites to win La Liga, although they’ll have some stiff competition from Real Madrid (9/2 and 1/1, respectively.)
The biggest long shots on the soccer futures board at Bodog? There’s a tie. Blackpool and West Bromwich Albion, both at 5000/1 to win the Premier League, which Chelsea (13/8) is expected to reign over.
And, of course, don’t forget we’ve got our regular MLS betting at Bodog. The big game this Saturday pits the Columbus Crew versus the New York Red Bulls, so don’t miss out.
