2025 PGA Picks: Butterfield Bermuda Championship Odds and Expert Betting Predictions

Guys, we nearly had a winner for you last week with South Africa’s Garrick Higgo at 22-1 betting odds. He shot an 11-under-par 61 on Saturday to take the lead. In the end, however, the tournament’s betting favorite at (+1000), American Ben Griffin, shot nine under on Sunday for the 29-under-par victory.
We continue with the FedEx Cup Fall this week with the Bermuda Championship. Last year's winner, Rafael Campos of Puerto Rico, will be in the field but is unlikely to win, as he has missed the cut in his previous three starts on Tour.
Rico Hoey has three top ten finishes in the FedEx Cup Fall, including two top 5 performances over his previous three starts. The Manila-born Filipino American will be your betting favorite this week at (+1800) to win the Bermuda Championship.
Also in the field and near the top of the betting board is another islander, Taiwan’s Kevin Yu. After three straight top 20 FedEx Cup Fall finishes, he missed the cut last week at the WWT Championship.
We only have two more tournaments left to play on the PGA Tour this season. We will do our best to play the golfers who need either a win or a high placing to keep their pro cards, or at least give them an incentive to play well.
Bermuda looks incredible. I had a friend get married out there, and I regret not going. The weather forecast looks clear, but as you might expect, sitting out in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, there will be some heavy winds.
I’m seeing upwards of 28 MPH on almost every day of the tournament. We’ll have to pick some golfers who have done well in the past in dealing with such strong gusts.

Course Characteristics - Port Royal Golf Club
Port Royal Golf Club is a very short course, measuring less than 6,900 total yards. The course itself is not designed to be that difficult. It's a coastal resort-style course. Who wants to fly all the way to the middle of the ocean only to a set of links set your ego back a couple of years?
That said, Port Royal has the potential to be one of the more difficult places to play on the PGA Tour. This, of course, relies heavily on the wind, and we’ve already mentioned it’s going to be whipping.
Last year in moderately calm conditions, Port Royal ranked 20th out of 51 PGA Tour courses in terms of difficulty. In 2023, however, it ranked 56th of 58 when the air was moving at a faster pace.
For our surfaces, as you might expect, we will have Bermudagrass on the entire course, including the greens.
Bermuda Championship Winner Betting Picks
Nico Echavarria: +2800
Medellin’s own Nico Echaverria represents Colombia with pride, as he competes to win every single week. I don’t think I’ve seen another middling golfer on the PGA Tour who consistently puts together solid performances, even when lesser hearts would take a tournament or two off from time to time.
With finishes of 9th and 14th over his previous two starts, Echavarria is primed for what would be his third PGA Tour victory. There aren’t many golfers in the field this week at the Bermuda Championship who even have one Tour win.
Patrick Rodgers: +4000
Patrick Rodgers looks to be everyone's favorite bet to win this week, and it makes sense even though the Stanford grad has never won a PGA Tour event or performed well this Fall.
So, why all the love? Well, he did snag a 6th-place finish on Sunday at the WWT Championship.
Potentially more notable, he has the best course history at Port Royal of any golfer in the field. With finishes of 4th, 3rd, and 9th over his previous three starts in Bermuda, a bet on Rodgers at 40-1 is an auto-play.
Matt Kuchar: +4200
I just gave some betting friends the "Father Time is undefeated" speech over the weekend. It's only Tuesday, and my theory is already being tested again.
The USA’s Matt Kuchar still has another 1-year Tour exemption card in his pocket if he needs it. The way the 47-year-old has been competing lately, though, has me thinking he wants to get a win now.
It would be such a big one, too, number 10 for his illustrious career. Throw in 15 runner-up performances, and Kuchar is a golfer we could see in the World Golf Hall of Fame.
We mentioned his focused play as of late. "Kuch", as his friends kindly call him, is 3/3, securing top-20 finishes this Fall, including a 22-under-par 11th-place performance last week at the WWT Championship.
