2025 PGA Picks: RBC Heritage Odds and Expert Betting Predictions

We are, of course, only a few days removed from Rory McIlroy’s biggest win of his illustrious career. On Sunday evening, the Northern Irelander became just the 6th golfer in PGA Tour history to complete the Grand Slam, winning all four major tournaments.
I hope you got a bet down on the 11-year pro, as we had him as one of our picks to win his first Green Jacket.

Does this win put McIlroy ahead of reigning world #1 Scottie Scheffler? I don't know but he has an argument. You may be surprised to hear this, but Scheffler has only won one of the four major tournaments on the PGA Tour. It was the Granddaddy of Them All, and he did it twice, but that still pales in comparison to McIlroy's accomplishment.
The good news is we get to see these two go head-to-head on the course for at least another decade of elite golf from both. The bad news is McIlroy previously opted out of this week's hangover tournament, the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
One might assume the week after The Masters would be one of the less meaningful stops on the PGA Tour. That couldn't be farther from the truth, however. Scheffler sits atop the betting board this week, followed by fellow Americans Collin Morikawa, Xander Schauffele, and Patrick Cantllay, who have each played well here in the past.

Harbour Town Golf Links - Course Characteristics
There are times when golfers have to ask the caddie to bust out the telescope to see the greens at Harbour Town Golf Links. It's not that the course is massive, and they're so far away.
The 100% Bermudagrass greens are tiny and much smaller than the undulating islands pros had to deal with at The Masters. Putting isn't paramount here, though. That is the second most important metric, as scrambling is #1.
This week at the RBC, patience, experience, and avoiding mistakes should be at the forefront of golfers' minds.
RBC Heritage Betting Picks
Patrick Cantlay: +1800
The 33-year-old SoCal native had a disappointing weekend in Augusta, finishing two over par for the tournament back in 36th place. After a hot start in 2025 with three top 15 finishes in his first four tournaments, the American's clubs have cooled quite a bit.
That's why we're getting a pretty good price on him here. Cantlay's course history is second to none. In six of his seven starts here at Harbour Town, the man's average finishing position is inside the top 5.
Brian Harman: +7500
Less than two weeks since Brian Harman's big win at the Valero Texas Open, he's sitting at a scintillating 75 to 1 here to win the RBC Heritage. You may or may not have heard of Harman, but remember what we said it would take to win here at Harbour Town?
Patience, experience, and avoiding mistakes would be the big three. That’s Harman, and this is practically home for him.
Born on St. Simons Island, not far away in Georgia, the Bulldog has golf in his blood. Also finishing two over par and tied for 36th at Augusta, Harman isn't playing lights-out golf either.
I like that, though, because Harbour Town isn’t the course to “be gettin’ the big head” as my pops would say.
RBC Heritage Prop Bet
JT Poston Top 20 Finish: +160
Hickory, North Carolina’s J.T. Poston has some genuinely juicy betting odds here of (+160) to finish inside the top 20. Poston, like Cantlay, hasn’t had the best start to the 2025 PGA Tour season.
However, he is similar in that his course history stands out. When he makes the cut, he finishes inside the top 8. In four of six starts at Harbour Town, the Carolina boy has missed the cut twice. That is concerning, but looking back at his form heading into those four outstanding performances and he was coming off of crap performances.
Every golfer on the PGA Tour has at least a course or two where they play great, and Harbour Town is one for Poston.
