Ottawa Redblacks Stats
Ottawa has had one of the better offenses in the CFL this season, but it's their defense that has kept them in most of their games. Their offense ranks near the top of the league in scoring, passing yards, and sacks allowed, but they have had problems with turnovers and they are ranked third-worst in rushing yards. Their defense has used an aggressive approach all year long, picking up a league-best 24 sacks and they are third in the league with nine team interceptions.
Redblacks quarterback Trevor Harris has had an up and down season so far, throwing for 3,005 yards with 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions through 10 games. Harris' favorite target has been wide receiver Brad Sinopoli, who has caught 68 of the 92 passes thrown his way for 826 yards and three scores. Their top running threat has been William Powell, who has 764 yards with four touchdowns and he's averaged a solid 5.1 yards per carry.
Possibly the most impressive player on the Ottawa defense has been lineman A.C. Leonard, who has recorded a team-high five sacks to go along with 34 total tackles. Third-year defensive back Jonathan Rose has also had a good year, taking down 29 opponents while also coming up with three picks and two forced fumbles.
BC Lions Stats
The Lions have played well on both sides of the ball at times this season, but they have had a really tough time putting in consistent performances. Their offense is ranked near the bottom of the league in scoring with just 201 points, and they are also near the bottom of the rankings in both passing and rushing yards. Their defense has been a bit better than their offense, ranking fourth in the league in points allowed while also knocking down the most passes.
Quarterback Travis Lulay has done a pretty good job leading the charge for BC's offense, throwing for 1,696 yards and seven touchdowns in six starts this year. Running back Jeremiah Johnson has been able to average 5.4 yards per carry and he's scored four touchdowns, but he has just 365 yards on the season so far.
In his first year with the Lions, veteran defensive end Odell Willis has arguably been the defensive unit's top player, picking up 12 tackles and ranking second in the league with five sacks. The team's tackle leader is linebacker Bo Lokombo, who has 47 total tackles and one sack. Young defensive back Winston Rose has been able to pick up 20 total tackles and he currently leads the team in interceptions with three.
