In a matchup of 6-12 conference records, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will take on the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in the first round of the ACC Tournament. When these teams last met on Jan. 25 of this year, Wake Forest was able to get the win by a score of 65-58. Devin Thomas led the Demon Deacons with 21 points, six rebounds, one assist and two blocks.

At the time, Wake Forest was perfect at home on the season and was 4-3 in the ACC. Codi Miller-McIntyre added eight points, three rebounds and two assists in this one. Six of those eight points came in the final two minutes of this game as the Demon Deacons looked to close out the Irish.

Notre Dame was up 54-53 with under three minutes to go in this one. That's when Miller-McIntyre got a layup and helped Wake Forest take the lead for good. The Demon Deacons had led by as much as eight on two different occasions in the second half. They couldn't push the lead to more than eight but with several offensive droughts by Notre Dame, Wake Forest was able to hold on.

Garrick Sherman led the way for Notre Dame with 20 points, six rebounds, two steals and a block. The Fighting Irish also got a contribution from Eric Atkins with 13 points, three rebounds, six assists and a steal.

In that game, Wake Forest was able to cover against the spread. The Demon Deacons have not played well ATS lately though and are 2-8 over their last 10 games ATS. They have covered in two of their last four so this might be of sign of good things to come.

Notre Dame isn't much better at 3-6-1 ATS over their last 10. They did cover in their last game against North Carolina but hasn't won ATS in four games prior.
