Barret Jackman scored the overtime game-winner and the St. Louis Blues won 4-3 to take a 2-0 series lead over the Chicago Blackhawks. The Blackhawks shot themselves in the foot all game with bad penalties, resulting in 41 penalty minutes. The Blues finished the game with a 26-18 hit advantage and outshot the Blackhawks 31-28 on the night.
In the first period, Chris Porter was able to open the scoring for the Blues off of assists from Jordan Leopold and Kevin Shattenkirk. Shattenkirk would get a goal of his own with just two seconds remaining in the first. Blackhawks defenseman Duncan Keith got one back for the visitors with less than three minutes to go in the second period.
In the third period, Brent Seabrook scored his second of the series and the Michal Rozsival got another one for Chicago to give them the lead. After the Blues went on the power play following Chicago's 11th penalty of the night, Vladimir Tarasenko scored his second goal of the series with just seven seconds left in the game to send it into overtime. After some back-and-forth play in the extra period, Jackman scored his game-winner off of assists from Roman Polak and Vladimir Sobotka.
Blues goalie Ryan Miller was able to make 25 saves in the game, while Chicago's Corey Crawford stopped 27 of the 31 shots he faced.
