Sports Betting Futures Odds: Masters Week is Here

College basketball is gone-for now-but not forgotten. Thus, center stage is
open for golf to fill the void, and it will do just that with the Masters
this week. And what a Masters it could be, as Tiger Woods is not only back
on tour but also playing well, and other big names like Jordan Spieth, Rory
McIlroy, and Phil Mickelson are also in fine form. Who will be wearing that
    green coat on Sunday afternoon?

Masters

Jordan Spieth (+1000)
    - The following numbers are Spieth's career finishes at the Masters: T2, 1,
T2, T11. And, of course, the second T2 should have been another 1. The
24-year-old American bounced back from a missed cut at the Valspar
Championship to finish third last week in Houston.

        Rory McIlroy (+1100)

    - Like Spieth, McIlroy should have one more Masters victory (one) than he
actually does (zero). The Northern Irishman led by four shots heading into
the final round in 2011 before collapsing to the tune of an 80 and plunging
to T15. Now a four-time major champion, McIlroy won last month at Bay Hill.

Justin Thomas (+1100)
    - The most recent major (2017 PGA Championship) saw Thomas triumph at one
of golf's biggest tournaments for the first time. It was fitting, too,
because the 24-year-old American was the best player from start to finish
last season and won the FedEx Cup. He already has two wins this season.

Tiger Woods (+1200)
    - Tiger has not played the Masters since 2015. That is just one reason why
the hype is off the charts this week. The most important reason is that
Tiger looks legitimately back. The four-time Masters winner has three
    Top-12 showings in 2018, including a runner-up. Dustin Johnson is also a
    +1200 fourth choice.

Top 10 finish at the Masters

Dustin Johnson (+100)
    - Johnson was the pre-tournament favorite-and an overwhelming one, at
that-in 2017 before suffering a freak back injury in a fall at his Augusta
rental home. The 33-year-old American isn't as on fire right now, but he is
playing well enough, and his last two Masters results are T6 and T4.

Bubba Watson (+125)
    - Not too much unlike Johnson, it is sometimes all or nothing with Bubba.
When they drive the ball straight, they can overpower courses and dominate
tournaments. Bubba has done that twice at Augusta National, winning in both
2012 and 2014. His game appears to be sharp with a win at the Match Play
    Championship.

Phil Mickelson (+150)
    - Will Mickelson become the oldest Masters champion at 47 years old? It's
not out of the question. A Top-10 finish is even less out of the question.
Mickelson has four top-10 performances dating back to the start of
February, including a title at the WGC-Mexico. He is a three-time winner in
    Augusta.

Sergio Garcia (+225)
    - The defending Masters champion has not done much since his biggest and
best career moment last spring. Garcia's game does, however, seem to be
coming around; he placed seventh at the WGC-Mexico and fourth at the
Valspar Championship. The 38-year-old Spaniard has four Top-10s at the
    Masters.

        2019 National Championship

        (

            Bovada Sportsbook

        )

        Duke (+600)

    - As expected, Duke is the opening favorite to cut down the nets next year
in Minneapolis. The Blue Devils have landed each of the nation's top three
recruits in R.J. Barrett, Cam Reddish, and Zion Williamson. That will make
up for the departures of Grayson Allen, Marvin Bagley, and likely Wendell
    Carter.

Kansas (+700)
    - Big 12 Player of the Year Devonte' Graham is gone, but that is just about
where the bad news ends for head coach Bill Self. He will likely return
Malik Newman, Udoka Azubuike, and Lagerald Vick while welcoming Memphis
transfers K.J. Lawson and Dedric Lawson plus Cal transfer Charlie Moore.

Villanova (+700)
    - Head coach Jay Wright has now taken his team to a pair of titles in the
past three seasons. Will the Wildcats make it three out of four? Omari
Spellman, Eric Paschall, Phil Booth, and Final Four MOP Donte DiVincenzo
will all be back. Villanova is also getting five-star guard Jahvon
    Quinerly.

        Kentucky (+800)

    - A lot will depend on Kevin Knox's decision to either return for a
sophomore season or jump to the NBA. Kentucky was so thoroughly
unspectacular in 2017-18 that Knox and others may decide to stick around
for some redemption while mentoring another strong freshman class. North
Carolina is a +1200 fifth choice.

        French Open

        Rafael Nadal (-110)

    - The hard-court swing ended on Sunday, when John Isner captured the Miami
Open title. Now attention turns to clay, on which Rafael Nadal has been
dominant dating back to 2005. Roger Federer announced following his early
loss in Miami that he is once again not playing on clay. Will Nadal have
    any competition?

        Dominic Thiem (+700)

    - Nadal has won 10 French Open titles. If anyone is to deny him No. 11
later this spring, it may be a man with zero. Thiem is a two-time
semifinalist at Roland Garros and seven of his nine career ATP titles have
come on the red stuff. The world No. 7 suffered a knee injury in Indian
Wells but should be 100 percent.

Novak Djokovic (+750)
    - Djokovic has won the French Open only once (2016), but he is a three-time
runner-up and he has not lost prior to the quarterfinals since 2009.
Unfortunately, the 30-year-old Serb is a shadow of his former self right
now. Far from 100 percent physically dating back to last summer, he has two
    months to get in shape.

Juan Martin Del Potro (+1200)
    - Del Potro is an amazing 21-4 this season with titles in Acapulco and
Indian Wells plus a semifinal showing in Miami. But he does not sound too
enthused about clay, a surface that forces him to play longer points.
Alexander Zverev, who finished runner-up to Isner in Miami, is also a +1200
    fourth choice.
