2025 PGA Picks: RSM Classic Odds and Expert Betting Predictions

Turkey time is rapidly approaching, and that means the year is just about finished for PGA Tour golfers. We still have the Hero World Challenge in a couple of weeks from the Bahamas. Several of the world’s best will be in the field, including Americans Scottie Scheffler, Sam Burns, and J.J. Spaun.
First, though, we have to wrap up the 2025 FedEx Cup Fall at another island off the coast of the US, St. Simon’s Island, Georgia. The chunk of jagged coastal swamp and small islands that line the Atlantic Coast of South Carolina and Georgia could be the true epicenter of the golf world.
It’s like the Las Vegas of MMA or the UFC. That’s where many of the best fighters live and train. The weather is comfortable there during the winter months, and some of the world's top golfers have homes there and spend their off time playing loose and relaxed. That’s how you learn.
This will mark the 15th annual RSM Classic, and yes, all tournaments have been played at this one location. We do have multiple courses, but they're all part of the same complex. More on that in a moment.
Past winners of the RSM Classic include Mackenzie Hughes, Maverick McNealy, and world #15, Ludvig Aberg, who took the title in 2023.
Unfortunately, we won’t see him this week. Leading the betting board is Harris English, and a name we keep seeing pop up, Cleveland, Ohio’s Michael Thorbjornsen.
He is not to be confused with another fresh face you’ll be seeing more of, Thorbjorn Oleson of Denmark, who is a bit farther down the betting board. His odds to win the RSM Classic are currently set at 30-1.

Course Characteristics - Sea Island Resort - Plantation and Seaside Courses
The RSM Classic has been using two courses, the Plantation Course and the Seaside Course. Over the first two days of the tournament, 18 holes will be played on the Plantation as well as Seaside.
Over the weekend, though, on Saturday and Sunday, it's just the Seaside Course. This course ranked 13th last year, unusually high for a difficulty score. In 2023, however, the Plantation and Seaside Courses ranked 53rd of 58 PGA Tour courses in terms of difficulty.
They are link-style courses typical of any coastal set. They aren't that hard until the almost inevitable wacky weather rolls in with the waves, and wreaks havoc on the golf course.
RSM Classic Winner Betting Picks
Michael Thorbjornson: +2000
We mentioned the Cleveland kid in the opener. Everything is lining up for him to win this week. These two courses fit his style of play, as he isn't particularly powerful off the tee.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen him play at the RSM either. That’s what I mean when I say the universe is prepared for him to get the victory.
No other golfers have won here on their first try, and he did pretty well in his only start, finishing 8th, just three strokes behind the winner, McNealy.
Daniel Berger: +3300
Another name that was at the top of the leaderboard when we wrapped up last year’s RSM Classic was Florida State Seminole Daniel Berger. The man is only 32 and has four PGA Tour wins.
He’s just been fighting injuries for the past few years. The man tied for 2nd last year at this event, even when he wasn’t playing that well.
He isn’t in good form this week either, but he’s a winner, and that’s what we’re betting on.
Nico Echavarria: +4000
We mentioned Berger tied for 2nd last year at the RSM. Well, Colombia’s Nico Echavarria was the one alongside him at 15 under par, just one stroke behind the winner.
Echavarria certainly represents his heritage well. He has a ton of heart and doesn’t quit on himself. The talk of “heart” is usually one reserved for the boxing or the Octagon, but it’s important on the golf course, as well.
Frustrations can set in fast, and some slices can hurt worse than kicking an elbow.
Echavarria is also in good form. So, we have the heart, the rhythm, and the experience.
