2026 PGA Picks: Baycurrent Classic and Expert Betting Predictions

Last week’s Bank of Utah Championship concluded in dramatic fashion, as it was Austin Smotherman who picked up his first career PGA Tour win, holding off the field with a final score of -26.
This week, the PGA Tour Fall season continues in Japan with the Baycurrent Classic. The field for this event looks to be much stronger compared to last week, as a handful of the top players in the world are set to tee it up.
The Baycurrent Classic is scheduled to begin on Thursday, October 8th and will run through Sunday, October 11th. Note that because of the drastic time difference in Japan, coverage for this tournament will begin on Wednesday night, October 7th in the United States.
As always, my article will preview this event by giving you a brief overview of the course, a look at the current outright betting odds, my best bet to win the tournament, and my two favorite ‘Top X Finish’ props.

2026 Baycurrent Classic: Expert Predictions and Best Bets
Collin Morikawa to Win the Baycurrent Classic (+1600)
My best bet to win the 2026 Baycurrent Classic will be Collin Morikawa. While Morikawa has yet to participate in the PGA Tour Fall season, he did play in the Presidents Cup a few weeks ago.
Further, Morikawa overall had a strong 2026 PGA Season, finishing T14 in the FedEx Cup standings. He also won once in 2026, that being at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am back in February.
The good news for Morikawa is that he is familiar with this event and this course. Morikawa has played at the Baycurrent Classic seven times throughout his career. Most notably, he won the tournament back in 2023.
This season, Morikawa ranked 11th in Strokes Gained: Total, 5th in Strokes Gained: Approach to Green, 5th in Scoring Average, 18th in Par 4 Scoring Average, and 3rd in Birdie Average. Putting was a struggle for most of the season, but given his familiarity with this tournament, backing Collin Morikawa to win the 2026 Baycurrent Classic will be my best bet.
Jacob Bridgeman to Finish Top 20 (Including Ties) (-138)
My favorite ‘Top X Finish’ prop for the Baycurrent Classic will look for Jacob Bridgeman to finish inside the Top 20. Bridgeman had a breakout season in 2026, collecting two wins. The first at The Genesis Invitational back in February and the second at the Biltmore Championship a few weeks ago in September.
Including his two wins, Bridgeman finished inside the Top 20 a total of 12 times this season, which includes a solo-9th at the BMW Championship and a T4 at the Tour Championship.
This season, Bridgeman ranked 12th in Strokes Gained: Total, 1st in Strokes Gained: Putting, 12th in Scoring Average, 4th in Par 4 Scoring Average, and 6th in Birdie Average. Bridgeman has never played at the Baycurrent Classic, but given he is one of the best putters on Tour, backing Jacob Bridgeman to finish inside the Top 20 will be my play.
Min Woo Lee to Finish Top 20 (Including Ties) (-132)
My second favorite ‘Top X Finish’ prop will target Min Woo Lee to finish inside the Top 20. Lee is another guy who had a strong 2026 PGA Tour season, as he finished T4 in the FedEx Cup standings. Lee didn’t win in 2026, but had nine finishes inside the Top 20.
Some of these finishes include a T2 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, a solo-2nd at the Genesis Scottish Open, and a T3 at the Texas Children’s Houston Open.
There is also the fact that Lee has played the Baycurrent Classic three times in his career. In these three starts, he finished T6 in 2023, T27 in 2024, and T10 in 2025.
Given his success this season, and more importantly, in this tournament over the last couple of years, backing Min Woo Lee to finish inside the Top 20 will be my play.
