2026 PGA Picks: Butterfield Bermuda Championship and Expert Betting Predictions

The PGA Tour Fall Season returns this week after having last week off. The most recent tournament was the Baycurrent Classic in Japan two weeks ago, where it was Michael Brennan who picked up his third career PGA win, finishing the tournament with a final score of -16.
This week, the PGA Tour is set to take on the Butterfield Bermuda Championship. Most notably, the playing field is missing all the players ranked in the Top 60 in terms of the World Golf Rankings; however, there are still some notable names looking to increase their standing in the FedEx Cup Fall season.
This tournament is scheduled to begin on Thursday, October 22nd and will run through Sunday, October 25th. As always, my article will preview this event by giving you a brief course overview, a look at the current outright betting odds, my best bet to win the tournament, and my two favorite ‘Top X Finish’ props.
2026 Butterfield Bermuda Championship: The Course
The Butterfield Bermuda Championship will be played at Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton, Bermuda. The course is a Par 71 and measures 6,828 yards. It consists of 11 Par 4s, four Par 4s, and three Par 5s.

2026 Butterfield Bermuda Championship: Expert Predictions and Best Bets
Taylor Pendrith to Win the Butterfield Bermuda Championship (+4200)
My best bet to win the Butterfield Bermuda Championship will be Taylor Pendrith. He had an inconsistent 2026 season, ranking 89th in the FedEx Cup. Pendrith did, however, have a handful of solid finishes, including a T6 at the Sony Open and a 2nd place finish at the ISCO Championship.
More importantly, Pendrith has had a ton of success at this event. He has only previously played at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship twice, but finished T8 in 2021 and T5 in 2023.
Nothing in Pendrith’s game stood out as elite this season, but given the fact that he has two Top 10 finishes in his career at this event, backing Taylor Pendrith to win the Butterfield Bermuda Championship will be my best bet.
Andrew Novak to Finish Top 20 (Including Ties) (+114)
My favorite ‘Top X Finish’ prop will look for Andrew Novak to finish inside the Top 20. Novak had an up-and-down 2026 season, but finished inside the Top 20 six times this season. Most recently, Novak had a T7 finish at the Wyndham Championship and a T17 finish at the Biltmore Championship.
It is also worth noting that Novak has previously played at this event four times in his career. He has finished inside the Top 20 in two of these starts, including a T17 in 2022 and a solo-2nd in 2024.
Because of the previous success Novak has had at this event and because he has been in solid form over his last two starts, backing Andrew Novak to finish inside the Top 20 will be my play.
Austin Smotherman to Finish Top 30 (Including Ties) (-130)
My second favorite ‘Top X Finish” pick will target Austin Smotherman to finish inside the Top 30. Smotherman had a somewhat inconsistent 2026 season on the PGA Tour, as he ranks 80th in the FedEx Cup standings. That said, Smotherman finished inside the Top 30 seven times this season.
Most notably, this includes a win at the Bank of Utah Championship at the start of October, his first-ever career PGA Tour win. It is also worth mentioning that Smotherman is somewhat familiar with this event, having previously played it four times in his career. He only finished inside the Top 30 once in this tournament, a T23 in 2022.
This season, Smotherman ranks 8th in Strokes Gained: Approach to Green, 20th in Driving Accuracy, 4th in GIR%, and 18th in Birdie Average. Given this and his recent breakout win, backing Austin Smotherman to continue his good form and finish inside the Top 30 will be my play.
