2026 PGA Picks: Tour Championship and Expert Betting Predictions

The second leg of the PGA Tour FedEx Cup Playoffs has come and gone, with Wyndham Clark pulling away on the final day to pick up his sixth career win and third of the 2026 season.
This week, the PGA Tour will head to Atlanta to take on the Tour Championship in the final event of the FedEx Cup Playoffs. The field has been cut down to just 30 players, meaning there will be no cut, and the winner is set to walk away with one of the PGA Tour’s most prestigious prizes.
The Tour Championship is set to begin on Thursday, August 27th and will run through Sunday, August 30th. As per usual, my article will break down this event by giving you a brief overview of the course, a closer look at the outright betting odds, my best bet to win the tournament, and my two favorite ‘Top X Finish’ props.

2026 Tour Championship Expert Predictions and Best Bets
Xander Schauffele to Win the Tour Championship (+1225)
My best bet to win the Tour Championship will target Xander Schauffele. While Schauffele has not won this season, he enters this week ranked 12th in the FedEx Cup standings and has had plenty of solid finishes.
Schauffele has played at the Tour Championship eight times in his career and has the following finishes: Won in 2017, T7 in 2018, solo-2nd in 2019, T2 in 2020, T5 in 2021, solo-4th in 2022, solo-2nd in 2023, and T4 in 2024.
This season, Schauffele ranks 11th in Strokes Gained: Total, 13th in Strokes Gained: Off the Tee, 6th in Total Driving, 10th in Driving Distance, and 7th in Scrambling. Because of this and his success at the Tour Championship in the past, backing Xander Schauffele to Win the Tour Championship will be my best bet.
Wyndham Clark to Finish Top 10 (Including Ties) (-106)
My favorite ‘Top X Finish’ prop for the Tour Championship will look for Wyndham Clark to finish inside the Top 10. Clark is another player having one of the best seasons of his career, as he enters this week ranked 3rd in the FedEx Cup standings and 5th in the World Golf rankings.
To further emphasize how Clark’s season has gone, he has made 17 of 22 cuts, but has three wins this season. This includes The CJ Cup Byron Nelson, the US Open, and the BMW Championship (last week). In addition to his wins, he has finished inside the Top 10 six times this season, including his last two tournaments in a row.
Clark has also had success at the Tour Championship in his career, finishing solo-3rd in 2023 and solo-8th in 2024. This season, he ranks 4th in Strokes Gained: Total, 1st in Putting Average, 3rd in Putts per Round, 3rd in One-Putt %, 7th in Scoring Average, and 4th in Birdie Average. Given this, backing Wyndham Clark to Finish Inside the Top 10 will be my play.
Chris Gotterup to Finish Top 10 (Including Ties) (+106)
My second favorite ‘Top X Finish’ prop for the Tour Championship will look for Chris Gotterup to finish inside the Top 10. Gotterup is easily having the best season of his career, as he enters this week ranked 6th in the FedEx Cup standings. Further, Gotterup is up to 8th in the World Golf rankings and has made 20 of 22 cuts this season.
He also has three wins this season, including the Sony Open, WM Phoenix Open, and John Deere Classic. In addition to that, Gotterup has finished inside the Top 10 six times this season, including a T4 at the BMW Championship this past week. Gotterup has also had some success at the Tour Championship, making his tournament debut back in 2025 and finishing T10.
This season, Gotterup ranks 8th in Strokes Gained: Total, 11th in Strokes Gained: Off the Tee, 9th in Driving Distance, and 12th in Scoring Average. Because of this, backing Chris Gotterup to Finish Inside the Top 10 will be my play.
