2026 PGA Picks: Truist Championship Odds and Expert Betting Predictions

It was a dominant win last week at the Cadillac Championship as Cameron Young went wire-to-wire to pick up his third career PGA Tour win and second win of the 2026 season.
This week, the PGA Tour will head to Charlotte, North Carolina, to contend for the Truist Championship, another one of the Signature Events. The tournament will begin on Thursday, May 7th, and conclude on Sunday, May 10th.
The field is one again loaded with plenty of the top players in the world set to tee-off. This will include Rory McIlroy, who will be making his first PGA Tour start since winning his second consecutive Masters in early April. However, it will not include the number one ranked player in the world, Scottie Scheffler.
My article will break down this intriguing event by providing you with a course overview, some of the outright betting odds, my best bet to win the tournament, and my two favorite Top 20 Finish props.

The Course
The Truist Championship will be played at a familiar site on the PGA Tour, the Quail Hollow Club. This course is a Par 71 and measures 7583 yards. It consists of 11 Par 4s, four Par 3s, and three Par 5s.
The Quail Hollow Club has hosted numerous PGA Tournaments since being designed and built in 1959. This includes a PGA Championship, a President’s Cup, and many normal PGA events.

Best Bets
Matt Fitzpatrick to Win the Truist Championship (+1700)
My top pick to win the Truist Championship will target Matt Fitzpatrick. He comes into this event as arguably the hottest player on Tour, having already won three times this season. This includes a win at the Valspar Championship in March, a win at the RBC Heritage in April, and a win at the Zurich Classic (with his brother), also in April.
Fitzpatrick ranks 2nd in Strokes Gained: Total, 5th in Strokes Gained: Approach to Green, 2nd in Total Driving, 2nd in Driving Accuracy, 4th in Green in Regulation% (GIR%), 3rd in Scoring Average, and 5th in Birdie Average.
Even though Fitzpatrick has not had the most success at Quail Hollow in his career, his recent form cannot be ignored. He will have to contend with Rory McIlroy, who has an impressive track record at this course; however, given that Fitzpatrick has won three times in the last month and almost always contends, backing Fitzpatrick to win the Truist Championship will be my best bet.
Sepp Straka to Finish Top 20 (Including Ties) (+120)
My favorite Top Finish prop for the Truist Championship will look for Sepp Straka to finish inside the Top 20. Straka has had a solid season to date, posting five Top 20 finishes in 10 events. This includes his most recent start last week, where he finished T4 at the Cadillac Championship.
Further, Straka is the defending champion of this event; however, in 2025, the Truist Championship was played at a different venue. While Straka has not been the most consistent player in many categories, he does rank 13th in Strokes Gained: Approach to Green.
He tends to be a streaky player, but with a Top 5 finish last week, I am backing him to put together another four solid rounds and therefore, will back Straka to Finish Inside the Top 20.
Jacob Bridgeman to Finish Top 20 (Including Ties) (+170)
My second favorite Top Finish prop for the Truist Championship will be for Jacob Bridgeman to finish inside the Top 20. At one point in the season, Bridgeman had finished inside the Top 20 in eight consecutive events.
He has cooled off considerably since then, with his last three events resulting in a T41, T33, and T65. That said, Bridgeman still ranks 8th in Strokes Gained: Total, 1st in Strokes Gained: Putting, 7th in Scoring Average, and 3rd in Birdie Average.
He has only played at Quail Hollow Club once in his career (2025 PGA Championship), where he missed the cut. However, with his game having improved significantly this season, backing Bridgeman to Finish Inside the Top 20 will be my play.
