PGA Picks: 2026 US Open Golf Odds and Expert Betting Predictions

A first-time PGA Tour winner was crowned last week, as Bud Cauley held on to win the RBC Canadian Open with a final score of -17.
This week, the PGA Tour heads to New York to take on the third major of the season, that being the US Open. With this being a major, all the top players in the world will be in the field, including the defending US Open Champion, JJ Spaun.
The US Open is slated to tee off on Thursday, June 18th, and will conclude on Sunday, June 21st. As always, my article will preview this tournament by providing an overview of the course, a brief look at the outright betting odds, my best bet to win the tournament, and my two favorite ‘Top X Finish’ props.

Best Bets
Xander Schauffle to win the US Open (+1850)
My top pick to win the US Open will target Xander Schauffele. This season has been a solid one for Schauffele, as he has made 11 of 12 cuts and ranks 14th in the FedEx Cup standings. He has especially been good as of late, having finished inside the Top 10 in four of his last seven tournaments. Most notably, this includes a solo 3rd at The Players Championship, a T9 at The Masters, and a T7 at the PGA Championship.
Further, Schauffele has had tremendous success at the US Open in his career. He has finished inside the Top 15 in all nine of his starts, which includes seven Top 10 finishes and three Top 5 finishes. Therefore, given his recent form on the PGA Tour this season and his career success at the US Open, backing Schauffele to win the US Open is my best bet.
Ludvig Aberg to Finish Top 20 (Including Ties) (+112)
My favorite ‘Top X Finish’ prop for the US Open will look for Ludvig Aberg to finish inside the Top 20. Aberg is having a fantastic 2026 season, having made 11 of 13 cuts and ranking sixth in the FedEx Cup standings. More impressively, Aberg has finished inside the Top 20 in eight events this season, which includes six finishes inside the Top 10.
Further, this will be Aberg’s third start at a US Open in his career, in which he finished T12 in 2024 and missed the Cut in 2025. Granted, the US Open is not played at the same course every year, so there is plenty of reason to believe he will continue his great form at the tournament this year.
To further show how consistent Aberg has been this season, he ranks 2nd in Strokes Gained: Total, 2nd in Total Driving, 10th in Scoring Average, and 2nd in Birdie Average. Given that eight of his last 10 starts on the PGA Tour have resulted in Top 20 finishes, backing Aberg to Finish Inside the Top 20 at the US Open will be my play.
J.J. Spaun to Finish Top 20 (Including Ties) (+180)
My second favorite ‘Top X Finish’ prop at the US Open will look for J.J. Spaun to finish inside the Top 20. Spaun has had a bit of an up-and-down season, as he has made nine of 15 cuts and ranks 21st in the FedEx Cup standings. That being said, Spaun has finished inside the Top 20 in five events this season. This includes a win at the Valero Texas Open, a T14 at the Cadillac Championship, a T5 at the Truist Championship, a T6 at the Charles Schwab Challenge, and a T12 at The Memorial Tournament.
As mentioned previously, Spaun is the defending US Open Champion, so he has experience playing on challenging courses. While winning back-to-back US Open titles could be too much to ask for Spaun, the fact that he has finished inside the Top 20 in four of his last five events makes backing Spaun to Finish Inside the Top 20 my play.
