2026 PGA Picks: Valspar Championship Odds and Expert Betting Predictions

After a thrilling come-from-behind win for Cameron Young last week at The Players Championship, the PGA Tour is back this week with the Valspar Championship. This tournament is set to begin on Thursday, March 19th, and will run through Sunday, March 22nd.
While the tournament field will be missing several of the top players in the world, including Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy, there are still plenty of players who will be looking to take home the title and improve their FedEx Cup position.
My article will give you a preview of the Valspar Championship, which will include a brief overview of the course, the outright odds to win, and three of my best bets. These best bets will cover an outright winner pick and two top 20 finish props.

The Course
The Valspar Championship will be played at the Innisbrook Resort and Golf Course Copperhead Course. This course was originally designed by Larry Packard and opened in 1971. The Copperhead Course is a Par 71 and made up of nine Par 4s, five Par 3s, and four Par 5s.
This course is known for its final three holes, dubbed “The Snake Pit”. This stretch is tricky, and if players don’t successfully navigate it, it could lead to plenty of movement on the leaderboard.

Valspar Championship Best Bets
Viktor Hovland to Win the Valspar Championship (+1900)
My best bet to win the Valspar Championship this week will target Viktor Hovland. He is coming off a T13 at The Players Championship last week and has two other top 15 finishes this season, one being the WM Phoenix Open (T10), and the other being the Arnold Palmer Invitational (T13).
What I like more about Hovland is his history at this event and course. He has played the Valspar Championship three times in his PGA Tour career, finishing T3 in 2021, T33 in 2022, and, most recently, winning the event in 2025.
Hovland has not been the most consistent player on Tour this season, but given that he has seven career PGA Tour wins, including one at his event last year, backing Hovland to win the Valspar Championship (+1900) will be my best bet.
Jacob Bridgeman to Finish Top 20 (Including Ties) (+105)
While it feels like Jacob Bridgeman’s name has been popping up everywhere this season, I am going back to him as my best top 20 prop pick.
Bridgeman has by far been one of the most consistent players on the PGA Tour this season, and as such, he is #1 in the FedEx Cup Standings. In the seven events he has played this season, Bridgeman has finished inside the Top 20 in all of them.
This includes his maiden PG Tour win a few weeks ago at The Genesis Invitational, but also includes a T5 at The Players Championship last week. Considering how difficult The Players Championship can be, and the fact that this was only his second ever start at that tournament, Bridgeman handled the pressure with ease for another fantastic finish.
Bridgeman has also had success at the Valspar Championship in his career. He has made two starts at this tournament, missing the cut in 2024, before finishing in solo 3rd in 2025.
He clearly has his golf game working at a high level right now; therefore, backing Bridgeman to finish inside the Top 20 at the Valspar Championship (+105) will be my best bet.
Justin Thomas to Finish Top 20 (Including Ties) (+120)
Another player I like to finish inside the top 20 this week is Justin Thomas. While Thomas has only played in two events this season, he is coming off a T8 at The Players Championship last week.
More importantly, Thomas has had a ton of success at the Valspar Championship in his career. In eight starts at this tournament, Thomas has made seven of eight cuts. Further, he has finished inside the top 20 six times in this event. This includes a T10 (2015), T18 (2016), T13 (2021), T3 (2022), T10 (2023), and, most recently, a solo 2nd in 2025.
Given his success at this tournament and this course, backing Thomas to finish inside the Top 20 at the Valspar Championship (+120) will be my best bet.
