2026 PGA Picks: VidantaWorld Mexico Open and Expert Betting Predictions

The PGA Tour Fall Season continues this week after Austin Smotherman defeated Seamus Power in a playoff last week at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship.
This week, the PGA Tour is set to take on the VidantaWorld Mexico Open. Most of the playing field is ranked outside the Top 30 in terms of the World Golf Rankings; however, there are three players ranked inside the Top 30, including Wyndham Clark (5th), Ben Griffin (28th), and Tom Kim (30th)
This tournament is scheduled to begin on Thursday, October 29th and will run through Sunday, November 1st. As always, my article will preview this event by giving you a brief course overview, a look at the current outright betting odds, my best bet to win the tournament, and my two favorite ‘Top X Finish’ props.

2026 VidantaWorld Mexico Open: Expert Predictions and Best Bets
Wyndham Clark to Win the VidantaWorld Mexico Open (+1275)
My top pick to win the VidantaWorld Mexico Open is Wyndham Clark. Clark is coming off an excellent 2026 PGA Tour season, though he ended up finishing T21 in the FedEx Cup standings. Despite not playing well at the Tour Championship or his lone Fall season event (Baycurrent Classic), Clark still managed to win three times on the PGA Tour this year. This includes a win at The CJ Cup Byron Nelson, a win at the U.S. Open, and a win at the BMW Championship.
This season, Clark ranked 8th in Strokes Gained: Total, 3rd in Putting Average, 5th in Putts per Round, 3rd in One-putt %, 13th in Scoring Average, and 6th in Birdie Average.
While he has not played particularly well at the tournament in previous years (T67 in 2022 and T24 in 2023), Clark was still one of the more successful players on Tour this year with multiple wins. For that reason, backing Wyndham Clark to win the VidantaWorld Mexico Open will be my play.
Tom Kim to Finish Top 20 (Including Ties) (-120)
My favorite ‘Top X Finish’ prop for the VidantaWorld Mexico Open will be for Tom Kim to finish inside the Top 20. Kim had a strong 2026 season, finishing T14 in the FedEx Cup standings, and he made 20 of his 23 cuts. Further, Kim finished inside the Top 20 in nine events, which includes seven of his last 10 tournaments dating back to mid-June.
He also had one win on the PGA Tour this season at the Genesis Scottish Open in July. This season, Kim ranked 19th in Strokes Gained: Total, 7th in Strokes Gained: Approach to Green, 9th in Scrambling, 6th in Scoring Average, and 5th in Par 4 Scoring.
Kim has never played at this event, so he will be somewhat unfamiliar with the course. That said, his strong finish to the season suggests he will be able to adapt quickly. For that reason, backing Tom Kim to finish inside the Top 20 will be my play.
Benjamin James to Finish Top 20 (Including Ties) (-115)
My second favorite ‘Top X Finish’ prop for the VidantaWorld Mexico Open will target Benjamin James to finish inside the Top 20. James was a rookie on the PGA Tour in 2026 and finished 108th in the FedEx Cup Standings. As of now, James is 63rd in the FedEx Cup Fall season standings, meaning he will need a strong finish to break into the Top 50.
James only played in 11 tournaments in the main 2026 season, making the cut in nine of them. Of those nine made cuts, James finished inside the Top 20 a total of five times, including four of his last seven starts.
Despite the fact that James has never played at this event, his recent strong finishes suggest he will be able to continue that trend. For that reason, backing Benjamin James to finish inside the Top 20 will be my play.
