2026 PGA Picks: World Wide Technology Championship and Expert Betting Predictions

The PGA Tour Fall season continues after Andrew Novak ran away from the field last week at the VidantaWorld Mexico Open to win his second career PGA Tour event with a final score of -25.
This week, the PGA Tour will stay in Mexico for the World Wide Technology Championship. The playing field will once again be without most of the top players in the world. That said, defending champion of this event, Ben Griffin, will tee it up to try to make it back-to-back wins at this event.
The World Wide Technology Championship is scheduled to begin on Thursday, November 5th and will run through Sunday, November 8th. As always, my article will preview this tournament by giving you a brief course overview and a closer look at the outright betting odds.
Additionally, I will include my best bet to win the event, as well as my two favorite “Top X Finish” props.

2026 World Wide Technology Championship: Expert Predictions and Best Bets
Ryan Gerard to Win the World Wide Technology (+1375)
My top pick to win the World Wide Technology Championship will be Ryan Gerard. He is coming off a highly successful 2026 PGA Tour season, as he finished 3rd in the FedEx Cup standings. Gerard made 23 of his 27 cuts this season, finishing inside the Top 10 eight times. This included three Top 2 finishes. More recently, Gerard is coming off a solo-3rd at the Tour Championship and a T4 at the Baycurrent Classic.
On the season, Gerard ranks 21st in Strokes Gained: Total, 25th in Strokes Gained: Putting, 9th in Putting Average, 21st in Scoring Average, 12th in Par 4 Scoring Average, and 20th in Birdie Average.
Given his recent success and how close he has come to a win this season, backing Ryan Gerard to win the World Wide Technology Championship will be my best bet.
Ben Griffin to Finish Top 20 (Including Ties) (-148)
My favorite “Top X Finish” prop for the World Wide Technology Championship will look for Ben Griffin to finish inside the Top 20. Griffin is easily one of the best players in the field this week. Not only is he the outright favorite to win the tournament, but he is also the defending champion of this event.
Even though this is the case, it is still too risky to believe that Griffin will defend his title. Griffin has finished inside the Top 20 in eight events this season, which includes a T4 at the VidantaWorld Mexico Open.
This season, Griffin ranks decently in multiple categories, including 38th in Strokes Gained: Total, 37th in Strokes Gained: Putting, 16th in Scrambling, 3rd in Sand Save %, 48th in Scoring Average, and 45th in Par 4 Scoring Average.
Because of this, backing Ben Griffin to finish inside the Top 20 will be my play.
Benjamin James to Finish Top 20 (Including Ties) (-122)
My second favorite “Top X Finish” prop will target Benjamin James to finish inside the Top 20. I went with James to finish inside the Top 20 last week at the VidantaWorld Mexico Open, and he came through, finishing T16.
James has now finished inside the Top 20 in six of his 12 tournaments this season, which now includes four of his last five events. It is true that James has never played at this course, as he is still very early in his PGA Tour career. That said, he has been more than impressive this season, especially as of late with multiple finishes inside the Top 20.
Because of his recent consistent play, backing Benjamin James to once again finish inside the Top 20 will be my play.
