2026 PGA Picks: Bank of Utah Championship and Expert Betting Predictions
Last week on the PGA Tour was a bit different, as we saw a team competition (The Presidents Cup) take place between Team USA and Team International. This event came down to the final day, but it was Team USA that came back to win on Sunday, beating the Internationals 17-13.
This week, the PGA Tour Fall season continues with the Bank of Utah Championship. The field will be without many of the top players in the world but will feature plenty of rising stars looking to secure their PGA Tour cards for next season.
The Bank of Utah Championship is scheduled to begin on Thursday, October 1st and will run through Sunday, October 4th. As always, my article will preview this tournament by giving you a brief overview of the course, a glimpse at the current outright betting odds, my best bet to win the event, and my two favorite ‘Top X Finish’ props.

The Bank of Utah Championship will be played at the Black Desert Resort in Ivins, Utah. This course is Par 71 and measures 7,421 yards. Further, it consists of 11 Par 4s, four Par 3s, and three Par 5s.

2026 Bank of Utah Championship: Expert Predictions and Best Bets
Jackson Koivun to Win the Bank of Utah Championship (+1225)
My best bet to win the Bank of Utah Championship this week is Jackson Koivun. He only played in eight events this season on the PGA Tour, but made the cut in seven of them. Most notably, Koivun finished inside the Top 10 in three events, which include a T10 at the ISCO Championship, a Win at the 3M Open, and a T5 at the Biltmore Championship two weeks ago.
On top of that, Koivun made his Presidents Cup debut last week, going 2-0-1 in his three matches. This was a huge part of why Team USA was able to storm back and beat Team International.
Considering Koivun’s performance last week on what was a huge stage, his confidence level is likely through the roof. For that reason, backing Jackson Koivun to win the Bank of Utah Championship will be my best bet.
Benjamin James to Finish Top 20 (Including Ties) (-112)
My favorite ‘Top X Finish’ prop for the Bank of Utah Championship this week will target Benjamin James. This season, James ranked 109th in the FedEx Cup standings, though he only played in nine events.
He made the cut in eight of those events, and finished inside the Top 20 in four of them. His best finishes include a T15 at the ISCO Championship, a T4 at the Corales Puntacana Championship, a solo 3rd at the Wyndham Championship, and most recently, a solo 2nd at the Biltmore Championship.
Given his recent form, especially two weeks ago at the Biltmore Championship, and his need to have a strong Fall season, backing Benjamin James to Finish inside the Top 20 will be my play.
Michael Brennen to Finish Top 20 (Including Ties) (-108)
My second favorite ‘Top X Finish’ will look for Michael Brennan to finish inside the Top 20. Brennan had a strong PGA Tour season, as he finished 46th in the FedEx Cup standings. Further, Brennan has made the cut in 19 of his 25 events, which includes four finishes inside the Top 20.
His best finishes include a T6 at the Charles Schwab Challenge, a T15 at the Rocket Classic, a Win at the Wyndham Championship, and a T10 at the BMW Championship. On the season, Brennan ranked 3rd in Strokes Gained: Off the Tee, 3rd in Driving Distance, and 1st in Approach from >200 yards.
There is also the fact that Brennan is the current defending champion at this event, winning with a score of -25 back in 2025. Given that he has already had success at this course and has had some decent finishes recently, backing Michael Brennan to Finish Inside the Top 20 will be my play.
