Q: In 3 sentences or less, explain as an expert how you prepare for your weekly best bets for the upcoming NFL Picks and College Football Picks seasons?
A: My first step is to scour the internet (annuals are usually outdated) for all free agent transactions in the NFL and gather returning starters in college football, while checking on coaching changes for both levels. My next step is to set my own wins totals, then compare them with those posted by the sports books. Lines are already posted for week-1 and in many cases week-2 by July, if not earlier. I set my own lines and then in August, I begin updating injuries and/or defections, along with analyzing line moves of those that were posted earlier in the summer.
