BC Lions Stats
Considering how poorly BC's offense has played so far this season, they'll be happy just to be in the playoff hunt. They are third from last in scoring and they have the second-worst rushing attack in the league. Their defense has been fantastic, though. They are third in the league in points allowed with just 296 and they lead the league with 35 sacks and 16 interceptions. The one area where their defense has struggled has been in forcing fumbles, where they rank last with just three.
BC quarterback Jonathon Jennings has completed 67.7 percent of his passes for 1,081 yards and seven touchdowns this season and it looks like he will be the team's starting QB going forward. Wide receiver Bryan Burnham is having another solid season, catching 51 passes for 720 yards and seven touchdowns. Running back Chris Rainey has just 167 yards on the ground this year, but he has been one of the top punt returners by averaging 11.6 yards per return and taking one back for a touchdown.
Arguably the Lions' best defensive contributor has been veteran defensive end Odell Willis, who has 18 tackles and is second in the CFL with nine sacks. Defensive back Anthony Orange is having the best season of his career as he now has 36 total tackles and is tied for the team lead with four interceptions. The team's leading tackler is linebacker Bo Lokombo with 57 and he also has two sacks and two interceptions.
Hamilton Tiger-Cats Stats
Hamilton's offense has played very well this year. They are currently fourth in scoring with 367 points and they are second in the league with 4,149 passing yards. Their defense has been successful despite being one of the least aggressive units in the league. They have only given up 25.5 points per game through 13 games, but they are last in interceptions with nine and second from the bottom in sacks with just 16.
Hamilton quarterback Jeremiah Masoli has led the offense through 13 games by throwing for 4,097 yards with 18 touchdowns while also rushing for 428 yards and two more scores. Wide receiver Brandon Banks is having his best season in the league by catching 69 passes for 1,033 yards and seven touchdowns.
Linebacker Larry Dean has had a pretty good season for the Tiger-Cats so far, coming up with a team-high 71 total tackles as well as two interceptions. Veteran defensive tackle Ted Laurent has 12 total tackles on the year and he currently leads the team with four sacks.
