Sunday afternoon, the San Jose Sharks will travel to the PNC Arena to take on the Carolina Hurricanes.

The San Jose Sharks will come into this one after playing the Columbus Blue Jackets in Columbus on Saturday night. That game was the 5^th game of a 7 game road trip for the Sharks. The road has been good to the Sharks so far this season but the results have been mixed for San Jose on the trip and having to play back to back road games for the 2^nd time on this trip will not increase their chances of getting a win. But if the Sharks can shake off the inevitable fatigue, they should have a chance against a possibly tired Carolina team.

The Carolina Hurricanes also had a Saturday game on their schedule but that game was an afternoon affair against the Boston Bruins in Boston. With an afternoon game, the Hurricanes will have a better chance of recovering for their Sunday game than the Sharks will. If Carolina takes advantage of the different Saturday starting times, they might be able to find a way past the Sharks. And a win at home would be a good thing to build on since the Hurricanes will be spending a little time away from home in the next few weeks. Carolina will embark on a 5 game road swing and the road has not been friendly to them this season.
