On Tuesday night, the Vancouver Canucks will go up against the tough power play of the Dallas Stars. Last season, the Stars beat the Canucks in all three of their games against each other by a combined score of 13-2.

The Canucks lost for the first time this season on Saturday when they were defeated 4-2 by the Tampa Bay Lightning at home. Their power play let them down in that game by scoring just once out of their six chances with the extra man.

Canucks left wing Daniel Sedin has one goal and is near the top of the leaderboard with six assists. Right wing Radim Vrbata leads Vancouver with three goals and has also added two assists. Veteran netminder Ryan Miller is 3-0-0 with a 1.95 GAA and a .927 save percentage through his first three starts as a member of the Canucks.

On Saturday, the Stars gave up three goals in the third period to the Philadelphia Flyers and ended up losing 6-5 in overtime. They lost despite going 2-for-3 on the power play and scoring five goals on just 23 shots.

The Stars have been able to score three goals per game this season and they have scored on 26.7 percent of their power plays. Center Tyler Seguin has been excellent through five games by scoring four goals and assisting on four others. Goaltender Kari Lehtonen has a 2-0-2 record so far this season with a 2.91 GAA and a .906 save percentage.
