Kentucky Derby Picks

The Doc's Sports Team has been handicapping all Triple Crown horse races since he started the company back in 1971.

The field will be set for the 2026 Kentucky Derby the week of the race, and it will be interesting to see the morning line odds. Irad Ortiz rode three of the top horses during the prep season but will be ridding Renegade for this race. He is trained by Todd Pletcher and owned by Mike Repole.

The Kentucky Derby is set to run on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026 from Churchill Downs in Louisville, KY.
