Both of these agreements are for legal retail and online sports betting in two new state markets. Caesars Sportsbook and Kansas Crossing Casino
This past Wednesday on May 17, Kansas Crossing Casino had a grand opening with Caesars Sportsbook. The land-based casino and hotel in Kansas added Caesars as a retail and online sportsbook about a year ago. Officials from the City of Pittsburg, Crawford County, Explore Crawford County and the Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce were here in attendance at the event.
Jeff McKain is the general manager of Kansas Crossing Casino & Hotel. At the event, he recently commented:
“This is a big step for us as we continue adding new ways for all sports fans to enjoy the sports they love in Kansas. We’re thankful for all our guests’ patience as we transformed this space into the amazing sportsbook and bar that it is now.”
He added:
“Mixing live entertainment, sports wagering and food and refreshments is a winning combination that we cannot wait our guests to experience.”
Caesars Sportsbook at Kansas Crossing includes 40 big-screen televisions for games along with window service and self-service betting kiosks for wagers. The sportsbook’s restaurant has an all-new menu, and the bar has local beers and drink specials for the sports betting fans in this Pittsburg, Kansas venue.
Sports betting in Kansas became legal after state Governor Laure Kelly signed Senate Bill 84 into law last year. The four in-state casinos were contracted to form sports betting partnerships with commercial operators. Kansas Crossing chose Caesars Sportsbook. The three other land-based casinos were Boot Hill Casino & Resort near Dodge City, Kansas Star Casino in Mulvane and Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway.

Caesars Sportsbook agreements with Keeneland Race Course and Red Miles Gaming & Racing will impact both retail and online sports betting in Kentucky. As part of Caesars Entertainment, the sports betting company just announced that these partnerships will set the stage for both legal retail and online sportsbooks in the state.
The partnership with Keeneland and Red Mile Gaming & Racing will be the only retail sportsbook operating in Central Kentucky.
