BC Lions Stats
The Lions have had a very inconsistent offense throughout the season this year, but their defense has been able to keep them in most games. They are currently ranked near the bottom of the league in scoring with just 23.6 points per game through 14 games due in large part to their poor rushing game. On defense, though, they are fourth in the league in points allowed, third in sacks, and they have been able to come away with the most interceptions.
BC's top offensive player has been wide receiver Bryan Burnham, who has been able to catch 56 passes for 798 yards and seven touchdowns. Running back Jeremiah Johnson has also had a pretty good year by rushing for 633 yards and five touchdowns on 5.28 yards per carry. Quarterback Jonathon Jennings has thrown for 1,427 yards with eight touchdowns and seven interceptions.
Veteran defensive end Odell Willis is having yet another solid season for BC's defense, coming up with 18 tackles and he is second in the league in sacks with nine. Defensive back Anthony Orange has also been excellent for the Lions, picking up 42 tackles and five interceptions, returning one interception for a touchdown. Defensive back T.J Lee has 66 total tackles, three interceptions and one forced fumble on the year.
Calgary Stampeders Stats
Calgary has been the best all-around team in the CFL so far this season by having a balanced offensive attack and the top defense in the league. On offense they are second in the league in scoring and they have held onto possession for more time than any other team. On the defensive side of the ball, they have given up just 19 points per game and they have been able to force the most fumbles.
Stampeders wide receiver Kamar Jorden, who was the CFL Top Performer of the Month back in August, has been able to catch 55 passes for 944 yards and six scores. Quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell is having one of the best seasons of his career as well by completing 61.3 percent of his passes for 4,136 yards, 29 touchdowns and just 12 interceptions. The team's leading rusher is Don Jackson, who has been able to rush for 708 yards and two touchdowns while averaging six yards per carry.
Linebacker Alex Singleton has been a great leader for Calgary's defense this year and he currently leads the CFL in total tackles with 100. Defensive end Micah Johnson has 21 tackles on the year and he has come up with a career-high 10 sacks. Defensive back Emanuel Davis has 45 tackles and a team-best four interceptions in his first season with the Stamps.
