Toronto Argonauts Stats

The Argonauts have struggled on both sides of the ball pretty much since the first week of the season. They rank near the bottom of the league in scoring, passing yards, and possession time and they are currently last in the league in rushing yards. They are even worse on defense, ranking last in sacks and interceptions while also giving up 31.8 points per game.

Toronto quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson has had a pretty inconsistent year so far, throwing for 1,910 yards with just eight touchdowns, but he's also only thrown five interceptions. The team's top wideout has been S.J. Green, who has caught a total of 61 passes for 784 yards and three scores. Running back James Wilder leads the team in rushing yards with 691, but backup quarterback James Franklin has the team lead in touchdowns with 12.

Argonauts defensive lineman Cleyton Laing has had a good season so far, picking up 33 tackles and a team-high four sacks. Defensive back Alden Darby has also had a solid year by leading the team in tackles with 46 and also taking both of his interceptions back for touchdowns. Defensive back Ronnie Yell has 39 total tackles, one interception, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries this year.

BC has not played well on offense this year, but their defense has been one of the best in the league in most categories. They are currently one of the lowest scoring teams in the league at just 23 points per game and they have turned the ball over more than any other team in the CFL. Their impressive defense is currently fourth in the league in points allowed and they currently lead the league in team sacks with 37.

BC quarterback Jonathon Jennings, who has played very well in recent weeks, has thrown for 1,845 yards so far this year with eight touchdown passes and four interceptions. Wide receiver Bryan Burnham has also been very impressive over the last couple of weeks and has now caught a team-best 53 passes for 741 yards and seven touchdowns. The team's top rusher has been Jeremiah Johnson, who has averaged 5.1 yards per carry and now has 5151 yards and five scores on the ground.

Lions cornerback Anthony Orange is currently tied for the team lead in interceptions with four, one of which he took back for a touchdown. The Lions currently have three players with seven or more sacks with Odell Willis leading the way with nine. Linebacker Bo Lokombo has also had a very impressive season so far by picking up a team-high 61 tackles while also coming away with four sacks and two interceptions.
