The Washington Huskies (5-1) will go up against the high-flying offense of the #9 Oregon Ducks (5-1) on Saturday night. The Ducks were able to blow out the Huskies by the score of 45-24 on the road last season.
The Huskies were able to win their fifth game of the season last Saturday when they beat California 31-7 on the road. They had 384 total yards in that victory and held Cal to just 64 rushing yards.
The Huskies have been able to score 34.8 points per game despite only being able to average 181 passing yards per game. Sophomore quarterback Cyler Miles has thrown for 896 yards with nine touchdowns and no interceptions, and he has also rushed for 111 yards and three more touchdowns. Wide receiver John Ross has caught 13 passes for 358 yards and four scores this season.
Oregon followed up its first loss of the season two weeks ago by beating UCLA 42-30 on Saturday. In that game, they put up 468 yards against UCLA's defense and they didn't turn the ball over.
Through six games, Oregon is 20th in the nation in passing with 305.3 yards per game and seventh in scoring with 43.3 points per game. Star quarterback Marcus Mariota has thrown 17 touchdown passes with no picks this season, and he has also rushed for 290 yards and five more scores. Running back Royce Freeman has 467 rushing yards with seven touchdowns and he is averaging 5.5 yards per carry.
