The Indiana Pacers finally got a good game from All-Star center Roy Hibbert and the team played well defensively to beat the Washington Wizards in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals and tied the series at 1-1.

The Pacers got out on top early in the game, but the Wizards closed out the first quarter strong to tie it up at 23 apiece going into the second period. Washington had a two-point lead at the half, but the Pacers had their best quarter of the series so far in the third by outscoring the Wizards 25-19. Some great defense by Indiana and some missed shots by the Wizards in the fourth resulted in the four-point victory for the home team.

Right from the beginning of the game, Hibbert looked like a different player than the one who had zero points and zero rebounds in Game 1 of the series. He shot 10-for-13 from the field in this one and ended up scoring 28 points, grabbing nine rebounds and blocking two shots in the win.

Paul George had just 11 points for the Pacers, but he contributed in other ways and finished with six rebounds, four assists and two steals.

John Wall had his worst shooting performance of the playoffs so far, making only 2 of his 13 field goal attempts for six points. Wizards center Marcin Gortat had a solid game by scoring 21 points and grabbing 11 boards.
