On Friday March 14, the Los Angeles Clippers will travel to Energy Solutions Arena to take on the Utah Jazz. This will be the third time these two teams have played each other this season with the Clippers taking both of the previous games. The Clippers and Jazz last met on February 1st and the Clippers took this one 102-87. Jamal Crawford came off the bench and led the Clippers with 27 points, three rebounds, five assists and a steal. Blake Griffin added 25 points, 11 rebounds and four assists in the win.
DeAndre Jordan got in foul trouble so Doc Rivers had to go to the bench early and the Clippers proved once again why they have one of the deepest teams in the NBA. Ryan Hollins and Crawford led the bench and helped Los Angeles shoot a blistering 51.4 percent from the field while holding the Jazz to just 35.8 percent. Both teams had an average night at the free throw line and both teams shot badly from behind the arc on this night.
Fast forward to the second half, the Clippers made an 18-3 run in the third quarter to stretch their lead to 73-61. Utah got to within nine points with six minutes left in the game but the Clippers closed the game out from that point.
