The last time the Los Angeles Clippers came to play the Milwaukee Bucks, they were ending an 11,000 mile two week road trip. The Staples Center was evacuated due to the Grammy Awards and the Clippers were forced to play what some would say was inconvenient basketball. But if that was the case then they sure did not show it. Blake Griffin dominated the paint with 20 points, Jamal Crawford put up 25 points and the Clippers showed the Bucks why they are called “Lob City” with a few monster dunks.
After a 21-2 run in the second quarter that Griffin capped off with a 3-pointer, the game was a breeze for the Clippers. Darren Collison added 15 points and seven rebounds. Getting to the lane for easy baskets was all just part of the show most of the game. The Clippers led by as much as 39 in the first half. The Bucks were able to shrink the lead to under 20 before the end of the second.
Ersan Ilyasova had 16 points and eight rebounds to lead the Bucks. Khris Middleton gave a little bit of help adding 14 points, but late into that 21-2 run his frustrations started to mount. He got tied up with Griffin in a shoving match, and both were issued technical fouls.
