The San Antonio Spurs were able to dominate the Portland Trail Blazers in the first half of Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals and ended up winning 116-92 to take a 1-0 lead. They shot 50.6% from the field and made seven of their 16 three-point attempts in the game, while the Trail Blazers went just 4-for-16 from three-point land and shot 37.8% overall.

Right away, the Spurs looked like the better team on Tuesday night and were able to outscore the Blazers 29-16 in the opening period. It was more of the same in the second quarter as San Antonio took a 26-point lead into the locker room at halftime. The Blazers played better in the second half, but they never really had a chance to come back and ended up losing by 24 points.

Tony Parker was the star of the game for San Antonio, scoring a game-high 33 points and also contributing nine assists in the win. Tim Duncan had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, while small forward Kawhi Leonard had 16 points, nine rebounds and two blocks.

Despite the blowout loss, LaMarcus Aldridge still played like an All-Star for the Blazers by scoring 32 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. Damian Lillard only made six of his 15 shots in the game and finished with 17 points and six turnovers.
